Why is Glutathione Important to Health?

It is a very powerful anti-oxidant that protects the body by destroying reactive oxygen molecules & free radicals. It is found in high concentration in the liver, where it binds to heavy metals such as mercury & lead, chemical pollutants, & carcinogens and transforms them into form that can easily flushed out of the body via enzymatic pathway.

Alpha Lipoic Acid is also a kind of anti-oxidant, it acts as an anti-aging and to some studies(Germany) it is use to lower the blood sugar.


When does the whitening of skin take place?

L glutathione reduces melanocytes which produces melanin.

Reducing the melanin in the body would make your skin fairer. L-glutathione’s whitening process starts inside the skin (dermal layer) going outside (epidermal layer), that’s the reason why it takes a little time for you to see initial change in your skin tone. What is the recommended dose for Glutathione?

For Anti-oxidant and Anti-aging:

Standard dosage computation:
10mg per Kg BW (Body weight) per day.

But as a SKIN WHITENER computation should be IN DOUBLE INCREASED DOSE
20-40mg/Kg BW per day in 2-3 divided dose.

Duration:
Dark brown skin : 3-6months
Very dark skin : 6-12 months
Black skin : 2 years or more

Upon reaching desired skin color, maintenance dose: 1 capsule of glutathione at least 500mg once a day and a 1000mg of vitamin C preferably with rosehips.


How long would take to see the initial results?

Glutathione is not a major surgical operation, and even medical operation takes time to heal, restoration on anything would take a lot of painstaking effort to produce a high quality and a good product. Glutathione would help you to be healthy and not to be changed on an instant. This is not an overnight fix; therefore you would undergo the natural process “reap what you sow”. Not all Glutathione are the safe....BEWARE!
Types of Glutathione Preparations to AVOID:

Glutathione preparations that are in combinations with the following:

Tyrostat (L Tyrosine)/ Titanium Oxide:
Their oral format are still highly questionable by clinicians. This is used only for topical consumption and not to be taken orally. There were reports that even their hair turned white and feeling of pain and firming of the breasts.

Goat / Sheep Placenta Extract:
Same with the Tyrostat (L Tyrosine), it is not recommended to be taken orally. The usual complaints of users are that they pimples and they get fat.

Vit. A and Vit E:
There's nothing wrong with these vitamins but take note that skin whitening capsule will take you months and months of daily dose regimen. These vitamins have hypervitaminosis (toxic to our body in prolonged use).

These forms of vitamins are what we call fat-soluble vitamins (such as Vit A,D,E,& K). Fat-Soluble Vitamins are metabolized and hydrolized in the liver. In prolonged use, fat soluble vitamins can be very detrimental to ones health since excess of these preparations will not just simply be excreted and will just be stored in the liver making the liver work hard.

That is why doctors advise their patients to rest their liver after at least a month of taking fat-soluble vitamins.

Water-soluble vitamins such as Vit. C & B- complex, when not used by the body will just be excreted via urine, bile or feces.

So before buying Glutathione in the market check the contents first, and analyze if the combination would be helpful.


Is it fine to take a higher dosage to what is usually required or prescribed by the experts?

Glutathione is water-soluble, meaning that if there would be an excessive amount of intake it would still be excreted through urine. On the other hand, there is still no reported case or documentation about glutathione overdose.


Why is it necessary for you to take Vitamin C with Glutathione?

This is to keep L Glutathione in its absorbable or reduced form. This will release the potential of vitamin C’s derivatives’ whitening properties. That is why a person taking L-glutathione should take 2-3 times more than the dose of L-Glutathione.


Do I have to take a separate tablet of Vitamin C even though the whitening capsules already have 250mg content? Eg: Vitamin USA and Active White

250 mg is only a small part of what is usually required. In fact as it was stated above that a person should take 2-3 times the dosage of the L-Glutathione.

It is not true. The side effect in taking L-glutathione is the whitening of the skin already. In fact I have read about whitening capsules containing Tyrostat (L Tyrosine), that makes the hair gray/white.


Is it much better to take Glutathione with an empty stomach or should I eat my meal first before taking it?

Research has proved that it’s much better to take the whitening capsules with an empty stomach. Because an empty stomach can fully absorb the pills contents compared when you have eaten your meal already because there are already substances present in your stomach that might hinder the process of absorption.


Is it FDA or BFAD approved?

L-Glutathione is considered a food/dietary supplement. Therefore, it is not necessarily need to be FDA / BFAD approved. Only manufactured drugs, foods, medical devices and cosmetics required undergo these departments quality control. Also, there are no provisions in the law for FDA to "approve" dietary supplements for safety or effectiveness before they reach the consumer.
