while it may be true that it may be forbidden to join Freemasonry when you're Catholic, it still has not stopped many Catholics from joining the Brotherhood. there are even some Catholic priests who are Masons.

I agree, if you look at our Philippine history, there are so many priests that are masons. If I'm not mistaken, the 3 pirests (GomBurZa) were freemasons. One of the reasons why spaniards had them killed because of the participation in rebellion. How about Gregorio Aglipay? He was a mason (founder of Pilipinista).

In fact, on October 31, 1896 Aguinaldo issued at Kawit his manifesto proposing that the new government shall be based on the principles of “Liberty, Equality, Fraternity” the motto of masonry. Hehehe... who thinks that freemasons are nothing but evil?

not entirely accurate. though some sons of Masons want to be a Mason like their fathers, it does not automatically mean that they (sons) are Masons already. they would have to knock on their own freewill. they may want to join or not. it's up to them.

Catholic priests don't join the masons... it's the masons who entered priesthood in secrecy because they will try to destroy the church within.
