In western countries, especially here in Europe, sporting this kind of fashion doesn't make you the limelight hugger. And surely it has nothing to do with promoting promiscuity! Heck NO! Though I must sadly admit that there is a big difference... between western, mostly European men and Asian men. The later will be transfixed back to the medieval ages ogling at you for showing off a bit of sexy skin. AMININ!!!

So, when I am back in Pinas.... I simply try to dress appropriately, that's gving Pinoys a bit of slack!

Nothings wrong with girls wearing skimpy clothes and showing off thier skin as long as it fits the occasion and most of all knows how to bring herself . Of course these are point of views of majority of men specifically me w/c di pwede di mag thong is esmi unless my friend is sick if u dig my drift . - spaghetti / tube outfits with " LAGUM na ILOK "
- tbak / Gstrings / Vstrings / thongs w/ thin white pants but no ASSet to show and nag una ang pus-on

I am sorry to disrupt your parade, but I think this kind of attitude is quite primitive. Why should a woman be subjected to total insecurity and be limited to express herself in terms of dressing up, just because bakang sya or kagiron or lagum ug ilok or dagko ug pus-on - all based from your point of view?

What's this? Marxist revolution on who is allowed on what and which to wear?

Another poignant example is Pinays afraid to wear bathing suit because they do not want to be laughed at by others especially the men kay basin unya lagum ilang kigol. Pressure? I mean helloooooo! Who set the standards? Why can't people just leave others alone and let them be who and what they are - and want? Why the need to criticize obsessively?

NO ONE IS PERFECT. We all have flaws, but the question is, will you let your flaws take over you?

This is actually my pet peeve with Philippine soceity... why is it that Filipinos can be so critical about these petty things? Is it not enough to admit that she's ugly, she has a huge tummy, she's undesirable BUT WHY extend the criticalness as to limiting them what to wear? That is so communist, so controlling.

In western culture, they just don't care what you wear AS LONG as you are COMFORTABLE with it. No one acts as the judge. You have your freedom of self-fashion expression. Isn't that wonderful?

Because of the judgmental culture that we have about what is considered beautiful and accepted... then so are many Pinays trapped. Its like you must pass the elimination and screening process of men, such as the likes of you, who blatantly set standards (yeah your standards) on a supposedly freed society.

If we have dagkong uwat or kagid, mauwaw kay basin sawayun ug bugalbugalan. If we have sexy smooth legs, mahadlok kay basin sundun ug bugalbugalan sad - same thing, basin ma rape pa, ma harrassed. Maligo sa beach pwerteng tag-asa sa shorts, uban nag karsones. Heck, where is the logic? Kay mauwaw... tungod sa pressure sa mga lalaki na like you.

Dear Springfield, I AM A WOMAN so I don´t have a GF. I am a fashion conscious person or lets say body conscious if thats what you mean but I don´t go around making panaway on other people. Thats just soooo petty and funny, but you insist on it.

And YES if someone has lagum ug ilok and she wants to wear tube, then its HER RIGHT. Thats the argument I am trying to bring in to your kokote. You have NO right to tell the person what to wear and what not to. You can suggest and explain perhaps, but dont limit other people.

As for the pagkahinawayun... come to Europe and have a stroll in the beaches. You will see thousands of naked people laying in the sun- old, young, fat, anorexic, kagiron, smooth, balahibuon, itom, puti, pula and whatnots. But nobody cares (and dares) to make hinaway because everyone is accepted as who they are, imperfect or perfect. In fact many have no time to dwell on such petty things. That is RESPECT and MINDING your OWN BUSINESS.
