for obvious reason perhaps... controllability during rapid fire... flash hider would only be practical if you are not doing rapid fire...

NEDA board approves P76-B worth of projects

MANILA, Philippines - The National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) board, chaired by President Benigno Aquino, approved six projects worth P76.5 billion.

The biggest approved project is the Department of Agriculture's Philippine Rural Development Program. The P27.53 billion project aims to increase farm and fishery productivity and incomes in 16 regions and 80 provinces by adopting climate-smart and resilient agriculture support and systems.

Also approved was the Department of Energy's electric vehicles project, which costs P21.67 billion.

The Department of Education's P9.4 billion "Basic Education Sector Transformation" project, which aims to improve teaching and learning and strengthening systems also got the NEDA board's go-signal.

Two of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)'s projects were also approved - the P6.4 billion post-Ondoy and Pepeng infrastructure rehabilitation project and the P5.5 billion Pasig-Marikina River Channel improvement project.

The NEDA board also approved the Department of Transportation and Communications' procurement of five brand new patrols, worth P5.9 billion.

I have heard some really good things from users about the SOAR. I think the only negative thing I've heard about it is regarding their distribution and contracts. Otherwise, there aren't many if not any negative feedbacks about the SOAR itself.

There's also the PVAR, which looks quite reliable and durable under different environments. I haven't tried wither systems first hand, though. Looks like quite a treat.

well PVAR had some issues too specially on decision makers and some testers particularly some cebuano testers... even i wasnt sold to the video they posted tested by navy.... for special operations... you dont trust new system... you would rather trust on an old one but tested...

The problem with SOAR is the manufacturing. It seems that they contracted different Gun Manufacturing plant to build specific parts then assemble them later. I think they had issues with Colt. I think lang hap.

with recent modernization of GA i think Ferfrans and UDMC would be already be unecessary since that is the main mandate of Govt Arsenal if rifle and ammo is concern... unless requirements is not yet acquired..

Gov't allots P9-B for PNP 'transformation'

MANILA - The government is alloting P9 billion for the Philippine National Police's "transformational plan" from 2013 to 2016, President Aquino said during the ceremonial distribution of newly acquired pistols to PNP personnel.

The President said the plan will involve upgrading the capabilities and equipment of the national police force, as well as address its lack of manpower.

He said the PNP will be hiring 15,000 non-uniformed personnel to allow uniformed police doing administrative work to go to the front lines.

"Sa halip na maghapong nakaposte sa mga presinto’t opisina ang ating mga pulis, magsisilbi silang karagdagang puwersa sa pagbabantay sa mga komunidad," Aquino said.

Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas said it will address the shortage of PNP personnel.

The plan also involves the purchase of 13,000 units of M-4 rifles, communication and laboratory equipment.

Roxas said the PNP will also conduct a bidding for the purchase of 2,500 patrol cars.
