10th International Festival ECO-ETNO-FOLK Film, Romania
Dear friends and collegues,
We are honored to invite you participate and also to inform you that the 10th edition of the International Festival ECO-ETNO-FOLK Film are organized by the National Foundation ,,Niste tarani"” between 2 - 7 Septemer 2008, to Slatioara village /VALCEA County/ ROMANIA.
The Festival is open to the Documentary Short Films & reportages (max. 30 min.), dealing with subjects either in the Ecological – Environmental - Touristic category, or in the Ethnographical - Folkloric - Anthropological category.
The Foundation Staff will be honoured and glad if the filmmakers (amateurs, students, professionals and non-professionals) from your country will send to ours Festival their productions in concordance with the next regulations showed here.
Deadline for delivery of the films is 15st July 2008.

ECO-ETNO-FOLK International Film Festival
2 – 7 September 2008
Slatioara/ Valcea County/ Romania
The Festival is open to Documentary Short Films & reports, less than 30 minutes in length, dealing with subjects either in the Ecological – Environmental - Tourism category, or in the Ethnographical – Folkloric - Anthropological category.
The Festival aims to promote films pleading for the necessarily of guarding the cultural and national identity of the villages, for preserving the rural traditions in a world thread by uniformity and ecological films which denounce the consequences of the disastrous intervention on the environment.
Completion Date: The films must have been completed in 2006-2008 (although some exceptions will be accepted).
Presentation: Selected films must be made available for Festival presentation in DVD format.
Language: Films must be made available with the original language soundtrack and English/French/ Romanian subtitles.
Deadline: All film submissions must be shipped in order to arrive at the "NISTE TARANI" National Foundation office, 27 DR.M.OBEDENARU Str. / Bucharest sect. 5/ Romania, no later than July, 15st, 2008.
Format: All films must be submitted for pre-selection on DVD format.
Copyright: Every participant has the sole responsibility for the content of his/her work and for any possible copyright problem. S/he owns all rights concerning the usage of his/her work according to regulations, and therefore the Festival Board has no responsibility to third parties.
Accompanying Materials:
· Official Entry Form
· Synopsis: short typed description of the film's content (no longer than 50 words)
· Photo of the director or images from the film
VHS Cassette Labeling & Shipping:
Preview Cassettes must be labelled with the film title, running time and contact information (including name, address and phone number). International shipments must be accompanied by a commercial invoice (containing the film's title, run time, format (colour or b&w), value of shipment and sender's name and address). Cassettes and shipping documents should be marked: Without commercial value, for cultural purposes only.
Notification: Films selected for screening in all categories will be notified no later than July 30th, 2008.
Acceptance of a film does not guarantee airline or accommodations for talent or production crew in Bucharest, but the Festival will assist you with informations and special offers as far as food, accommodation and internal transportation in Romania, between Bucharest to Slatioara, are concerned.
Submission videos and materials will not be returned.

ummm, vegas 4.0b is the latest. its a great software as always. some say it surpasses FCP for the mac and avid xdv. and i think it really does. style of editing is slightly different from standard NLEs though. thats what i like about it.
