written English and spoken English are different... written English is what the school taught us while spoken English is what native Americans used every single day of their life. Lets just put in mind that the best way to improve the language is to use it in our daily life if you wanna see improvement..

Reading books only helps your vocabulary.. Watching movies too.. You might know what to say in English but actually doing it is a different thing. This is based on experience jud, coz when me and my family migrated to Canada I thought I knew how to speak in English. But actually doing it everyday was hard and I usually fumble my words or it may not make sense at all. Best practice is to speak it whenever you can. You might be unconscious about your accent too since you wouldnt know that you have one until they tell you. But thats not the important thing for now. Just practice your english to anyone you can and it will come naturally ;p

I think speak it bisan naa pa accent... kay akong observation ang mga pinoy mau ug grammar and english but not all pinoy speak fluent english why coz conscious manta not like sa uban lugar hala bisan bali2x ilang english fluent kau cla mosulti kay dli man cla conscious... kung ako pa dapat proud ta sa atong accent para unique pud ba... dli ta magtry hard to have an american accent kay even how fluent u are kung adto naka sa gawas mahibaw.an ghapon nga naa ka accent lagi rajud mga accent sa native speaker ....

It takes a while for a person to start thinking in English (if English is not your first language) - that's the first step for you to be fluent in the language. Adapting the accent and what not is another thing.

It's hard when you're based in Pinas `cause after you're done with work (assuming you're a call center agent), you're back in your hood speaking in Bisaya.
