video card is a huge factor in gaming not necessarily the OS. maybe your videocard sucks..
Currently with Vista... I just installed it yesterday... and it's been great. You definitely need to have the hardware to enjoy it.
No plan going back to XP..

Found some issues with Vista.
level up games with gameguard doesn't work with Vista 64 bits. I don't know for 32 bits.
THis includes FLyff and ragna.
All games worked so far.
xp pa for now kay daghan pa dili supported ang vista na mga programs.maybe 5 yrs from now vista na.
