These questions are from the US where they have strict policies.
Here is the Phils you often see ads for employers where they can say is they want a male of female and age.
Are there any real laws in the Phils that are as stricto as the ones you posted in your original thread ?
the article is misleading. it's definitely illegal in the US to ask those questions, but not here. in fact, those 10 questions are the most common questions you'll be asked in an interview. the phils does not have hiring discrimination laws. the US, on the other hand, is very strict on this. so here in our country we can miss out on jobs for flimsy reasons such as we're not attractive enough (and there's nothing illegal about that here). of course, this is both an advantage and a disadvantage, depending on which side of the fence you sit.
the US is too PC sometimes. imho, questions like are ok, so long as the interviewer doesn't get too personal about it.
based sa akong previous employer.......ana gyud ila g.azk nako
Some HR personnels get too personal. Like in one of my job interviews for one of the call centers here, I was asked to narrate how I broke up with my ex.. chaka kaau!k ingon sya he wanted to know how i dealt with it daw...whaaaat?!
maybe he wanted to know how i deal with a stressful situation pero feeling ko nakig chika lang sya.. it's still too personal, in my own opinion...
