It's very subjective to say which one's better. I like dota 2 more because it has features that I want like the ability to pause, a very nice non buggy client, multiple pick modes, FREE HEROES and COSMETICS, hero dialogues and interaction, etc.

When people argue which is better, they shouldn't base it on the fact that it's more popular or its success as an esport, it should be about which is more fun to play.

Only Valve and Riot can say exactly how many people are playing their games.
