From my personal experience with IMG, i think mas better direct sa FAMI since naa naman silay office diri sa Cebu. Labi na if dili ka tungahon sa ilang coordinator...hehehe....so naay human factor nga involve nga wala kay direct control. OT nani...dili ni pangdaot ha...nagsulti lang ko based on experience. PEACE

Sir, I wouldn't use the term muderetso sa Metrobank, Coz' Metrobank and First Metro Asset Management Inc. are 2 different entities, Metrobank is the bank itself, while FAMI is the Mutual Fund on the other hand.

For your inquiry on the difference between transacting with IMG and FAMI, IMG is a distributor of FAMI funds, where else in my case, I am a direct employee of FAMI here in Cebu.

Sir ang corporate bonds wala ma mention like kanang naa sa PDEX. Basic lang akong mga pangutana Sir. 1. minimum investment 2. type of bonds 3. charges 4. requirements to open an account

Hi Sir, right now we are offering FMIC Bonds (First Metro Investment Corporation) in the secondary market. It's a
5-year paper which will be maturing on 2017. Coupon rate is 5.675% gross. Minimum is Php200,000.00.

Sa akoang na experience karon ha, kay nag open ko ug MF account sa FAMI through a friend of mine nga taga IMG on last week of December 2011, and then he told me nga 1 MONTH pa daw nako ma receive ang "certificate/receipt", then I asked Sir James and he said 5 to 7 days ra daw ma receive nimo.......

So mao to, naputol ang akoang excitement if moagi ko sa IMG......

@lodyl: The reason why dugay ang certificate nimo sa IMG is because wala pa toy office ang FAMI diri sa Cebu and IMG handles all the paperworks, ie. paperworks, padala, etc. IMG also doesn't send forms everyday sa Manila because of costs concerns, mga once a week ang padala. I don't know kung unsay arrangement sa IMG and FAMI karon now that FAMI has an office here. Maybe, just maybe it can shorten transaction and delivery time. Now that FAMI has an office here in Cebu, you can go straight to FAMI. If you have a Metrobank account, much better because its much more convenient.

I see. Please update this thread if available na other corporate bonds like the one kanang naa sa PDEX. Sir, why is FMIC bond interest almost the same lang sa RTBs? I expect naa sa 7%-12% tungod sa risk compared with government securities. I got my RTB @6%.

FAMI just opened their office here at Cebu last November and still aren't done fixing up. Don't worry about your investment, its for long term anyway and the gains that you'll get are the same.
