Being a congressman is easy. you just buy votes, hire goons and terrrorize your constituencies. Thats how most Congressmen are elected.

the countries that you are giving comparison with seems like they are on the opposite sides of the totem pole..lagpas ra kaayu kung i compare ang botante sa Pinas ug sa Congo, Bangladesh...gibugoan na gyud ka sa mga pinoy? if you still don't know yet we have a literacy rate of 96% (2003 est.)..hasta c dagget giminusan sa literacy nato dire...do your research first mga amigo usa mo maka minus...tsk tsk

why don't we give Parliamentary a chance..it's about time to change the ineffective system

or ang uban gusto lang gyud nga COMMUNISM ang mo puli na government under the guise of defending democracy kuno

You mentioned Senators don't represent the people at a district level.......

That is why its HARD to become a senator.... you need to campaign in all districts........

I won't mind if there is just one senator for each region....

as long as there are 2 houses.... 2 heads are better than one.... one can't fool around without the other's cooperation....
is it really that hard dagget?..MADRIGAL won because of JUDY ANN, LAPID and REVILLA are well known actors, LOI won because of her showbiz husband..unsay nka lisud ana?

PARA ASA LAGI NA ANG PORK BARREL FUND SA MGA SENADOR NGA WALA MAN SILA DISTRICT NGA I DEVELOP?

    when I mean hard...

unlike congressmen you only campaign in your district...

if the district has 1,000 voters.... you need to visit only 501 voters..

Whereas a senator has to campaign from APARRI to JOLO....

So that is a logistical nightmare...

    GETs the POINTS....

To the least, I seem to agree with you. Maayo bitaw cguro nga kung duha man gani duha nalang para mawala nang mga partylist diha sa mga militante nga samokan kaayo.

Again don't give me that idea on: Why not give a Parliamentary system a chance

Look at Thailand... its a country that has so many similarities with the philippines... so don't deny that fact....

ang ka maayo lang sa thailand naay king that is respected and revered... and who has moral integrity....
