planning to rockbox my ipod and got few questions to audiohiles and masters here

1. mo support ba 24bit/96-192 khz audio once ma rockbox na ako ipod? my itunes won't allow me to transfer these files to my ipod now and I have few gigs of 24 bit/96-192 khz audio that I want to listen while I'm traveling.

2. If I upgrade to an audiophile grade headset will the 24 bit sounds better or will it allow me to hear more details than a 16 bit lossless on a rockboxed ipod?

3. If yes to 1 & 2 is there a device available for my Ipod that will allow a 24 bit audio to pass through the ipod? I am asking this because I am planning to use my rockboxed ipod for my car and I don't want the ipod to the processing (digital to analog conversion) but want my car's audio processor to the conversion.

4. Aside from converting to flac, is there a mod or way around for dsdff to play natively on an ipod or any portable media player?

Yes to 1 & 2 bro. As for number 3 try to get and iPod transport bro(not dock) if you want the internal dac to be bypassed. If not, you can just get a Female Lineout Dock so you can use the ipod directly(@tpc), Im not sure if a standalone DAC for a car is sold since I dont know much about cars. Is dsdff a format?

dinkoy, tnx for the reply bro, can't wait to rockbox my ipod. I think a female line out will not be an option for me since I needed the ipod to be powered or charged at the same time if I'm using it in the car. I goggled ipod transport and looks like the arcam is what I need because of the size. Do you know a place that sells them locally? There are few DAC's available for cars and the higher end models have 2 to 4 burr brown or wolfson DACs inside but it's going to cost you your liver . Sorry for typo, I meant dsdiff - it's an SACD backup (not the red book layer) that I played on my PC using foobar I just wanted to find a solution that will allow to transfer these file to my ipod so that I can listen to them wherever I go. if not, it's not the end of the world I'll just have to convert then to FLAC.

Been back reading couple pages back... grabeh sa mga headsets ninyo diri wui...gipaningot ko pagka kita sa price tag but I bet is worth every cents. Really wish i can afford one
