I read somewhere that when you patronize fakes, you patronize the violation of a brand's integrity as a product and as a label. Moreover, a lot of these fakes are made in China where they use child laborers to make these products. When you patronize imitations, you allow that dehumanizing act to continue.

Knowing that, I would rather wear genuine Terranova pants rather than fake Rock & Republic jeans. I cannot afford a genuine LV Speedy or a Bottega Venetta. I'd rather buy the Coach wristlet. I wouldn't force the issue if it's out of my budget.

What's wrong with wearing something locally made (and authentic)? The quality is good and the products are stylish. Buy local.

bags yes! lets face it HERMES bags? who can afford it ? id rather have a dozen of mirror image bags of good quality than a single genuine bag
