First and foremost the equation itself is ambiguous as it is written. If only the equation is clearly presented, it will resulted to ONLY one answer.
The problem is the equation will resulted to two answers due to the implied multiplication.
vsCode:48÷2(9+3)
See the difference?Code:48÷2 * (9+3)
Programming languages, calculator, office softwares as well as google and even wolfram alpha treat implied muplication as a high precedence compared to the explicit multiplication (parentheses, brackets, braces), then the answer is 288. Yet if we will use the rule on solving equation using MDAS it will resulted to 2.

Doing Math in Microsoft Excel - a knol by Marvin Isidore Macatol
basig ganahan ka muabsa ani brad bearish lol
hala i google nah... ^_^... 288 jud ang answer... hihihi...
the trick here is the multiplication symbol is not placed... that trick us nga unhahon ang 2(9+3) to evaluate...
but computers can see beyond these tricks ^_^... and guess what, it is us, people, who programmed these computers ^_^...
it's for the excel to get 2
simple ra kaau ang question nya butangan pajud ug duha kaanswer.
sakto si khuan, malahi jud kung lahi pagpresent
but in this case 2 jud ang answer base sa rules,
why do people have to depend on computer if there have Brains themselves to guess such simple answer
