the sureball no hassle way is to fly to manila and take a taxi to victory liner (pasay) bus station on EDSA. taxi is less than 100 pesos, hwag magpaloko.

for hardcore weekend trip (leaving cebu friday night, arriving cebu monday morning)

buses leave the station almost every hour until 1am or so. if you are able to sleep on long bus trips, take the last flight to manila and take the midnight or 1 am bus to baguio. you arrive in baguio before 7am. eat breakfast at chowking and watch the city come alive.

check in at hotels is normally 2pm pa. but microtel (near the baguio victory liner station) lets you check in early at no charge if they are not fully booked. the setback is they charge around 3500 for one night's stay (with simple breakfast for two) but if you only have the weekend, sulit na. you can nap when you arrive then suroy til evening. check out the following day is 12 noon, but if you ask nicely, you can ask to leave your belongings with them for the afternoon (even if you've checked out already) so you have a few extra hours to go around again.

depending on what time your flight back to cebu is (from manila), time your bus trip na lang. you can buy tickets in advance at the station (if you want sureball seats). but if you change your time, there is a 10% surcharge.

you must eat in cafe by the ruins (walking distance from burnham park) for a real baguio eating experience.

and ukay-ukay in baguio is still the best compared to anywhere else in the philippines, by sheer choice--because there are so many ukay places to choose from.

Anyway, will be arriving at NAIA terminal 3 then going straight to the bus terminal to catch the bus to Baguio...how far would the Pasay terminal of Victory Liner be (from NAIA terminal 3)? How about the Cubao terminal? Which terminal would you suggest I go to? Any idea how much the bus fare is and how long the trip would take? Would it also be possible to get reservations for bus tickets?

Also looking for an affordable (a pension house maybe?) and accessible place to stay in Baguio...any suggestions?

    Thanks.
