Its not the way you think. He challenge IT experts which are hackers on ethical way. White hats as they call it.

^^^mao gyud. it's not the way they should think. besides, how do even the Pentagon secure their system from "illegal hackers"? op kors by hiring IT experts that are also pretty much competent as the illegal hackers.

correct, white hats as they call it.

He wants publicity, that's all. He did it in the past and he can do it again. But I hope the public will get to realize that he is not an asset in Congress. Why do we need siblings in Congress anyway?

Hacking the system and paying a huge amount for such only encourages hacking. It would have been appropriate if he submits a bill that will support the system, not hack it. He can have all the attention that he wants but still, his actions are not impressive.

Cayetano's personality and character is irrelevant. What's relevant is how to erase doubts on how secure the auto polling system is to illegal hacking. Thus, that makes his challenge valid.

and remember, not all hackers are illegal. there are those what we call white hats/ ethical hackers.

The essence of this topic is not the possibility that the automated poll election can be hacked, but whether or not Philippines is ready to make a bold step towards ensuring a clean and modernized election. The moment politicians heard that the automation of poll elections has been approved, it immediately sent shivers down to their spines because they know that the days of election cheating will soon be over.

In the hopes of bringing back manual counting, these politicians are geared towards questioning the capacity of the machines to withstand hacking. Now is the perfect moment to prove that we want transform and change the image of elections here in the Philippines. Our hopes of having a credible election will be doused if the automated election will not push through.

Nothing is hack proof in electronics, but it will take time. If im the capable hacker then 100M is such a small amount of money, why not offer my services to a candidate that is willing to pay more than a billion for it.
