Just my observation. Just correct me if I'm wrong...

EDSA 1:
reason: majority of the participants from the poor to the elite just want Marcos out.

Ayala 1, EDSA xxx and Pamela 1:
reasons:
Cory Aquino is protecting her hacienda.
Opposition wants to Grab Power.
Communist wants to topple present form of government.
Susan Roces wants to be the president.
Erap wants to be reinstated.
Disgruntled soldiers want share of the loot...not sure of this though...Honnassan is now silent when he became senator...
The majority of the rallyists(istambays, no taxes) are binayrans and doesn't have significant number of middle class (ang nag pas-an sa dagko nga tax) backup...

korek! isa ra gyud ang ilang hunahuna tung una... freedom from Marcos... pero karon lahi na... its for their selfish reasons... i wonder why EDSA wont work anymore...

because people just don't care... usually they just wait until the damage is too great.

no matter how fed up we all are with succeeding calls to converge at EDSA to topple a president, we should always remember that these seemingly endless calls to oust a president, as well as the apathetic stand of most Filipinos is symptomatic of a political culture that is ineffective in providing what the whole populace needs.

the task here is for us to actually define our interest as a people ourselves and not delegate this to the trapos at congress and at malacanang; define it and safeguard it. we weren't able to do this on either EDSA 1 or 2.

mistakes, if not solved, have this uncanny tendency to repeat themselves over and over again.

only those who cannot see their mistakes tire and lose hope, shrugging their shoulders and saying "samok kaayo na uy. dili na ko manggilabot ana."

EDSA 1 was successfull in toppling marcos...but it wasn't successfull in putting up a whole new system na mo fit nato...That's the lesson that was overlook by our proud katigulangan....
