I've been waiting all day for your response bro..
After watching this movie, I tried to find the best explanation for the ending. I remember this thread and I'm glad that you posted the same question though no one dared answer

Some says that he is the monkey god that's why he's immortal. He should have been killed by his master after he covets his master's wife as his punishment pero gibitay nalang daw siya sa forest upon learning that he can't be killed..

But so far bro, yours is the best answer..and thanks for that
Mao to ingon si nephew sa ending when asked by the hunter what he'll do next nga he will be a bandit and jump ship to America and make love to women..The hunter was kinda shock and glad sa answer..'Live your life' said the nephew to the hunter...

Bro if you have a blog about movies I would gladly follow it

Hahaha... Very humbling man, but unfortunately I don't run a blog. Also, I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to create a very authoritative movie review & analysis blog coz I only have a background in screenwriting and Hollywood history and not a full degree in film or art, not that I want to.

I still have so much to learn. Though you get the full package in a crammed 2- or 4-year film degree, I still think the best way to learn is by experience and by that I mean immersing yourself in actually watching these films.

Well, I did plan to start a blog this year but I decided nalang diri sa istorya.net sa mag post coz I thought interactive siya kaso lang wa man keu gusto mo discuss in detail sa mga movies kasagaran posts kay mga chizmiz... hahahaha...

Anyway, I will gladly direct you to these following people whom I follow:
Manohla Dargis - Manohla Dargis - The New York Times
    A. O. Scott - Reviews - Best Movie Reviews - Movies - New York Times

Roger Ebert - rogerebert.com :: Movie reviews, essays and the Movie Answer Man from film critic Roger Ebert
Sometimes Ebert gets it wrong and incorrectly. Like his review for "Au Revoir Les Enfants" nga iyang gi-boil down ang implication of the Jews in the school through Julien who inadvertently turned around at Bonnet. Firstly, if ever there was an implication due to this, it was only for Bonnet. Secondly, it was unintentional like a concerned friend who's "in the know" would do.

Ug iya pud 4 star review on the stupid movie The Happening. Plus the most preposterous of all he did was calling "Kinatay" the worst film at Cannes. I mean he has the privilege to do so coz he's a film critic but he also needs to watch out his sharp tongue and prevent himself from immediately dropping a decisive judgment, especially as strong as calling it the worst movie.

Even so, I think he still offers great insights into movies plus his love for the art oozes out with most his reviews.

Bow ko aneng husband-wife tandem who offer probably the most extensively discussed movie reviews and in-depth analyses. Plus they both have overwhelming love for Japanese and French films, which are super plus points for me.

But ako pinaka-IDOL is actually Filipino film critic Noel Vera (Critic After Dark)
While I don't agree on all his reviews, what I find compelling is the fact that they are fearless, he states whatever he wants without the influence of a studio or a anything dictating his reviews for movie profits, etc. And he has encyclopedic knowledge of movies, probably the most well-versed among Filipinos, especially on Filipino film classics.

    Others:
    IONCINEMA.com: We heart subtitles
    The Playlist
RopeofSilicon.com - Movie News and Reviews Done Right

Search lang pud sa mga links presented sa mga websites especially sa blog ni David&Kristin ug Noel Vera. Murag naa tong link sa kang Jonathan Rosenbaum, Dave Kehr, ug David Thomson didto ug uban great critics.

    Hope that helps
