bro, i believe you have to pay extra for the additional 2 yrs if they offer one. Because like Dell they only offer 90 days to a year of warranty on most units depending on the model nowadays. But you can purchase an additional warranty of 2 years or even up to 5 years of warranty if you like with Dell. in short, it's optional. just look for a shop that gives you that option. maybe bro ian has an available stock.

how much is the price? (the total price if you pay it cash or installment)
divide it with the days of the warranty 1 yr 365 days.
how much is the worth per day?
compare it with a pc.
then decide. i'd rather be stationary then moved around, get bumped and die early. PC!
but of course if your a busy person. i suggest you buy the laptop with the cheapest parts around.
and with the most service center and of course the warranty.
my friend says laptop parts are more expensive than the laptop itself. i hope his lying.

ako ni opinion ha, ang ecs nga laptop kay barato cya,labi na makakuha ka ug mga nindut na kau ug specs for like 45-50 thou, i was planning to buy an ecs laptop before pero sa akong mga nabasa sa mga forums kay nausab ako huna2x, mga 85% jud sa mga ecs laptop owners kay daghan kau mga reklamo sa produt, like dali daw maguba nya maluag kana iyang brace sa kanang ig-abli2x ug uban pa, nya daghan kau gpang-uli nga kay daghan depekto, hasta gud mga taga sales dept. sa uban computer stores ako nabisita dili murecommend ug ecs laptop..pero d final decision is yours bro,naa man sad uban nga satisfied ra pud cla

legal_cd, you should demand for the Manufacturer's Warranty. Not the store warranty.

sa ako nabaw-an dili, kanang neo ug uban pa kay inassemble nana diri,mao na cheaper ila prices kaysa branded ones..i read from one thread of a certain forum that ecs laptops are using parts from a desktop computer,so its like a desktop computer in a laptop casing,don't know how true..
