now back to the topic of this thread....

in my opinion and from my experience with GAC(Gunpla Addiction Cebu....i was one of the core member of this little group)for a toy con to start, sakto to ang nag.ingon nga mo start og small and slowly grow...eventually we can have a toy con here in cebu...unya dapat sa mga ganahan jud madayon ni xa,mo gasto jud ta...if we can't find sponsors heck i think sa kadaghan nga collectors dri kaya ra makabayad para sa venue and other expenses like publicity and other activities para lingaw ang convention(the thinking of "sa akong e.bayad para mo display kai ako nlng e.palit og duwaan" won't help for the toy con to happen<<no offense sa kung kinsa man ang gasulti ani or gahunahuna ani coz if just my opinion i think everybody is entitled to one so peace!)...dapat sad siguro dili mahadlok mo display sa inyong stuff,if hadlok mo matarog/matagak(god forbid)/magasgas or whatever then daghan man cguro precaution mabuhat para ma prevent na, its either we rent a security line or bring a glass case(kapalit gud ta og mahalon nga duwaan nya para glass case lng dli na nuon diba?^_^)my co-GAC friends and i had lots of experience sa matagak and matarog(nabalian man gali among kits tungod sa bag lng sa isa ka viewer sa isa ka event nga among g.displayhan sa among hobby)but i think risk is something that we should take para mo happen jud ni xa diba?anyways among small club na GAC kai naa mai plans on prospering(hoping man gali mi nga one day BANKEE would look at our efforts and sponsor us..xD)and if someday mo dako mi....we will try on making this toy con happen in cebu...^_^

regarding meet-ups.. dapat nai progress on the 1st day of meeting palang daan.. or agenda.. like electing officers, registering members, et.al... para mura na gyud siya ug Club and lets make it official..and before we can do that. we need to spread the word not the hurt

the first step is to use this thread as a medium of communication.. ari lang sa nato post ato/inyung ideas.. then if by precept and example daghan nata then thats the time nga mag meet-up na.. kai tingalig kung karon-karon dayun maihap ra ang manunga anah..

i think you can't do that on one EB/meeting lang bai(sa kadugai namo nag meeting2 sa GAC wala man gud mi nakahuna2 except sa among gi tawag na President namo kai xa man jud naghatag og idea namo nga maghimo og "club" pra sa among hobby and meet up)....get to know lang sa cguro and share but don't boast and create an argument about his this and my that diba?unya kung close nata mga collectors as in friends na jud ahw diha nata mag.sugod og sabot sa kalamboan sa toy collectors dri sa cebu og madayon ang toy con nga atong gi pangandoy sad....^_^

I agree with Gilok. Just yesterday, we were discussing with our other members on GAC's future official events that would promote our hobby to Cebu and it took us quite a while to think up something like this... But even with all the "serious" talk; we get neck pains because we often get distracted by "Ayala's Female Population" (diba guys hehehehe) but then again, that always happens when we have an EB... too bad no one ever prepares a camera for them "sudden" moments hahahaha! Seriously, one of our simple longings is that we have at least one female member! ^^i

There's nothing like a nice friendly atmosphere (and a nice "VIEW") to promote kinship amongst members which makes discussions enjoyable and paves the way to a good agreement about things.

and we just had our own event yesterday... the toy community here still has ways to go...
