I don't think this has to do with emo music . The kid was just fed up with the "emo" abuse from the mother , so she decided to kill herself . Maybe the suicide girl has a low IQ so the mother didn't bother sending her to a private school . Heck , with the tuition fee rising in a country that education has no point of having because of extremely high unemployment rate , it's futile of sending the kid to a private school .

Though , knowledge is power , but it won't guarantee you'll get a job .

depression is a mental sickness, and a lot of us pinoys do not know this because we are blessed with the support of our family and our faith in God. We seek solace in our religion, or in some instances, cases of redhorse. but seriously, how can you expect your family to be the one to catch you when you fall, kung sila gani mismo wa kasabot nimo, calls you names and verbally abuses you?

I wholeheartedly agree with this. It's a pity to see some forum members here nga ang sad-an naman hinuon ang bata. Emotional abuse can take its toll. Who knows, maybe depressed na to daan ang bata mao nga mismo minor nga butang like tawgon ug "BOGO" mao'y nakapa trigger sa iyang suicidal tendencies. Depression is a serious illness and some people especially mga pinoys do not understand depression kay permi raman ta happy-happy mga pinoy gud. dili kaayo uso ang depression sa Pinas.

CEBU CITY -- A 12-year-old girl committed suicide last Monday, a day before her birthday, after her mother allegedly scolded her and told her she would be enrolling in a public high school.
Mary (not her real name) hanged herself inside their house in Pardo, this city.
Mary, the second child among four children, was supposed to enter high school next semester.
Mary’s aunt said her niece and nephews told her Mary hanged herself in the upper floor of their house using a rope tied to a beam.
Mary’s relatives rushed her to the hospital but it was too late.

Reports said Mary became depressed after her mother allegedly kept scolding her and calling her dumb.

pero based on what you said above.. dli ta dapat mu judge sa mama kay basin bati pud ug na agian... wa ta kbaw kulatado sa bana or iyang family life kay gubot kay iyang papa adik ug iyang mama kay violent nya nag minyo lang tungod nabuntis or something like that..

Dili na ingon ana kasayon, bro. Mas lisod ang emotional abuse oi. Basta, lisod jud. Pasalamat mo dili mo ingon ana. Naay daghan weak kaayo emotionally, dali kaayo masakitan unya lisod am-aman. Daghan tuod low class sa public pero mga bright. Asa mo og wala libro pero pasar? Topnotcher pa. Private-private pa ang kanahan. As if inig apply nimo pangutan-on ka if sa public or private ka nag skul? Duh!
