^ Afghans?... In a country where the national sport is dog fighting and the mayors are drug lords is it any surprise that they gravitate towards violence? They were killing each other fifty years ago, they are killing each other today and they will most likely be killing each other tomorrow too. The only thing they enjoy more than killing other Afghans is killing foreigners.

The UN should put the Afghan women in charge over there because the guys are too preoccupied with violence and graft. Pulling troops out now would result in open season against anyone whose mind isn't stuck in the Middle-Ages which is how it was before the West intervened. Having gone in there of course there is a responsibility to protect those who sought a different way of life.
