Another factor would probably how much force you need to glide your mouse across your mousepad. In this case I would recommend a nice cloth mousepad nga medyo bagax2 compared to your really thin average cloth pad (I'd recommend something about 3-5mm thickness, comfy kaayo)
Personally I have experience carpal tunnel in my hands sa keyboard/mouse so I am using ergonomic mice (Razer naga for my Claw-grip style) unya Mechanical keyboard for my hands (less actuation force and no need to bottom out the keys really helps the pain)
