Wow its been that long eh? I started listening to IO during my high school years (early 90s). DJs then were Jack (of course), Mr. Steel, AL B URO (sp?). Prof. Noodles, Johnny Kawa (before Kiss FM). Before I left Cebu for NZ, I remember IO had Tom Lupton and Bob Selner on board.

I now listen to IO on the internet these days. I believe they were the very first CEBU FM station to broadcast on the web. I thank them for that.

I must admit though, I almost stopped listening when bout a year ago, they somehow changed their format to pure hip-hop, RnB. I just couldn't stand it. I need variety. But everything went back to normal lately. What happened? Got a new musical director or something?

Anyway it's been a ride. Keep it up. You've been Always 1st indeed....

You gave me the soundtrack of my life. Thank you for giving us great shows such as Sunday Champagne Jam, Local Ground, New Rock (forgot the name, hosted by Al B), another show featuring hard rock/metal/trash, and canned shows from the US like AT40 & Rick Dees WT40.

I can still remember your opening promo (win a CB radio), your original logo (that red Y101 with a yellow grill background), the Skataraks jingle. Just great!

Happy 25th Anniversary, more power.
