Asa nindot puy-an or suroyan: Cebu or Davao?

oh, when i say suruyanan, i meant cebu beach resorts. am not into shopping man gud, so my idea of suroy suroy is beach and the like. dont you think OA ra kaayo ang price sa beach resorts sa Mactan?

there are also cheaper resorts in Mactan or around the Cebu Province but if you're referring to those International Hotels which are also located there then yes they are high, that's the result of commercialization, which is bad for those locals and the average pinoys.

Davao also has expensive Resorts, am I right?

Have you read this thread from page 1? If the mods are sensible enough, they wouldn't close this thread because someone used GIANTS fonts in their messages. Davao and Mindanao have no weakness. We are blessed. There is just that perception that Mindanao is HELL in people's minds. The US for example bans Americans to travel in Mindanao. Kung travel lang gani giban unsa nlng kahag ug invest diri sa amo. Ug cyempre ug mgban ang US daghan keu musunod ug ban na mga developed countries pud. Imagine kung wala ng Travel ban sa Mindanao. Na dugay ra mi nadatu diri. Mao ng mureact jud daun ko kung gamiton nasa sa uban nga mga STUPID n Pilipino ra pud and terrorismo and bombing para idown ang Davao ug Mindanao..Murag si kinsa.. no offense, but whew!.. to much pride heh? and you even separate Davao from Mindanao. You already stated one weakness.

I have nothing against Davao since I was there, been to your malls and and I even love eating Durian even if some are ignorant to eat it because of the smell.

I can see Davao will soon make its own mark when it comes to the city's economy but for now they should plan it well, because when it happens it will be hard to avoid those lawless element to make some noise as what is happening here in Cebu. imho

Ofcourse naa sad mahal sa Davao, but there are a lot of decent and nice resorts which are very affordable to locals. And one more thing, the proximity and accessibility of their tourist destinations are undeniably better than sa Cebu. But maybe the reason being, daghan kaayo man gud international hotels sa Cebu, syempre international, mao mahal. Pero my point is, kung local ka, mas daghan ug choices kasuruyan didto na beach kaysa dinhi. But anyway, to each his own. ang pagkaexpensive sa usa ka butang subjective man sa capacity ug sa standards sa uban.

no offense taken bai. i understand your point. proud man jud ta kung asa ta gikan (bisan asa pa ta gikan). i guess kadtong nistorya about bombing & chaos sa mindanao nagcge rato tan-aw TV. yes, naay threat sa mindanao (& sometimes sa davao), but di man tawn na taga-adlaw oi. Partly bai, sala na sa Media (plus the gov't). they create fear, rather than promoting the place, mas mahadlok na hinoon ang tao moadto. Why can't all TV networks devote at least 5min advertisement about a certain province for free. I Hope that one day everybody will be able to travel anywhere in the country (Apari to Sulu). I hope someday we will break that wall that we've created amongst us pinoy (& most especially the "Crab Mentality"). Di nalng ta ni lalison kinsa maayo puy-an kay personal preference raman jud na. personally, i'd like to visit Davao (& posibly live there). I want to go to the place where my mama was born. cheers!

why so defensive kung naay di ganahan sa davao? they are entitled to their own opinion. i like davao. i live in davao for 4 years, lived in cebu for 5 years now. if i have it my way, i would have want to live in davao, but my opportunity is here. pero di ta dapat masuko kung wala nila nakita ang davao sama sa atong pagkakita sa davao.

i agree. the problem with media is that when they are talking about a clash of abu sayaff, milf, mnlf ug uban pa sa basilan or sa southern part, mindanao na dayun ila isulti. well, its not the whole of mindanao. infact Mindanao is predominantly Christian, unlike the perception of a lot of people na muslim area ang MIndanao. but can you blame them? can tell them their ignorant? thats unfair. thats their perception because mao na ginafeed sa tv. do not blame them. ako man, kapila na ko balik sa Manila, never man ko nahold up, never ko nakawatan. pero makita nimo sa news, na daghan kagubot sa manila, daghan kawat, daghan tulis, etc etc. mao sad na ako tan-aw. manila is a very dangerous place to be. pero pag adto nimo, its not as bad as you see on tv, di ba?

again, way competition diri. gipangutana lang usa ka tao kung aha iya ganahan or dili. and reasons are even irrelevant. naa man gani tao ganahan lang siya didto kay ganahan siya period. naa sad uban with all its negatives and positives, cebu or davao ila ganahan simply because its home to them.
