what type of R4 clone was it? You could've just used custom firmwares, or YSmenu to load newer games.

the stickers says R4i SDHC but i found out that it was really an R4 new clone, the site to upgrade the firmware is no longer exist and then i searched into this site linFox Domain :: Nintendo DS Downloads Page which has all the original,clone and fake flashcard firmwares and i found the only compatible firmware for it which is the r4new v1.35 updated 10months ago and still can't play new games...nagmahay hinoon ko pag palit ug r4 sa cdrking maypa sa baligyaan na lng jud ug mga console games na naay ds ko ni palit para maka sure ka ug testing >.<

Well, all R4 products in the market today are 'R4 clones'. However, there are some 'R4 clones' which are not really R4 clones. An example would be the R4i SDHC you had; It is actually a DSTT clone.

Aside from using YSmenu or Wood, I recall people who used this flashcart's official firmware were able to play pokemon black and white. So I'm pretty sure there were updates.

Anyway, that's all in the past now. Nakapalit na ka og new flashcart sa imong DS? I recommend using an Acekard2i. A little difference in the price compared to R4 clones, but sulit kaayo kay updated and active pa ang team behind ani, even in the 3DS era.
