Not to undermine the post ha but why not get more moderators? If in-ana ka burdened ang mga mods karon, why not assign promote more people as mods? I'm sure daghan kaau mga responsable na individuals nga ganahan mu volunteer pra ani. Tarunga lng jd ug screen pra wlay mahimong mod nga gara-on ug way buot.
The admins rarely promote members to become moderators.
Maybe in due time kung makita nila nga lisod na jud ang pag police sa forums pun-an tingali ang mods.
But anyway kamahak, dako pud kaayo ug natabang ang mga members in reminding others about the rules.
Some members don't report, they just reply to the thread and remind the poster about the violation. If all goes well, he will keep that in mind and won't do it again.
thanks for the thread. daghan gyud na igo ani specially ang mga bag.o lang nga junior member simple 12 hour bump rule. (ingon ana pod ko sauna. haha) mao nay purpose sa report button. kung naa sila makit-an dili kaabot ug 12 hour ni bump na. labi na ni reply sa post. then nag post na pod nga naa silay updates sa 1st post sa ilang thread nga pwede ra man ni e edit ang last post then adto nila e butang ang updates kay consider as another bump na pod na then automatic ma butang sa 1st page. (violation gihapon)
salute to those people....

It does help but you see, you're missing the point. If you just replied to a thread, reprimanding the violator. You're still not doing anything much of help to the mods. Since, the violators won't be banned or properly sanctioned unless a Mod happens to read the thread, personally.
Hitting the report button cuts their work by half since people are responsibly moderating other members as well. This is not to say that everyone should start acting like mini-mods and start reporting every damn thing they find. That would be counter productive.
Best to use common sense and, maybe, a little of that gut feeling that people are so fond of. If it doesn't feel right, it probably isn't.
Just recently I told someone I hope a moderator notices his comment so that the moderator can judge whether or not he had just violated the rules. Now some members are like cockroaches, the more you ban them, the more they keep coming back. So I did not report him. That was my way of telling him hey you violated the rules; I did not tell him the specifics of the violation in the hopes that he will actually go searching for it and in the process learn something and maybe in the future think twice before he blurts out something.
Hey, if moderators have their own way of moderating the forums, members have their own way of reminding others of the rules.
I do get the point. And if naa gyuy urgent nga violation like naay bastos kaayo, I PM whoever is online nga moderator. So it's still a case to case basis.
