you can't reach that clock on stock volts. wow, i really wish i can do 4ghz on stock volts.
it's not just the cpu we are talking about here. how about the FSB? and how about NB,SB and ram voltages? do you think you can OC without changing those values? maybe you can if your are not testing or care about the stability of your system. you just want to see your clock speed increased.

Mga sir, unsaon pagkabalo nga na overclock na imong pc? Like asa makita ang difference?

Naa koy karaan nga pc ako gitry ug OC but d ko kabalo kung na OC na ba or wala. Sa properties sa akong My Computer, mao ni ang nakabutang:


Computer:
Inter (R)
Celeron (R) CPU 2.00GHz
2.67GHz, 544 MB of RAM


Unsa nang 2.67GHz sa ubos?


CPU-Z below:



1. Overclocked na ba ni?
2. Okay ra ba ang core voltage ani?
3. Dili ba madaot akong cpu or ang PC jud kung ingon ani na ang setup sa akong CPU?

i think it's best you do OC in the bios not on windows. you should also read about your cpu volts max (safe) and max OC. it also depends what mobo and cpu you are using. for the cpu, the more L2 cache your cpu has the more you can do OCing.
i learned OC through research and lots of reading from dif forums.
always stay on the safe zone so that you won't fry your cpu.

2. Use the BIOS when OCing.
3. Always test for stability every time you do an OC.
4. Every MoBo and Procie yields diff results.
5. etc...

dghan pa kau dapat mahibaw.an when it comes to OCing bro... KUTI jud kaau ang OC... mu.spend jud ka ug tym to find a stable setting of ur OC.

i have my Athlon II X4 640 @ 3.465Ghz on stock voltage by simply increasing the FSB to 231 and decresing the HT Link and NB Frequency.

^Don't waste your time ana nga processor. Bisan pa ug taas imo maabot sa pag-overclock ana limited ka sa architecture itself. Gamay ra kayo ka makita na performance gain.

share sad ko bai ha...dli jud ko kabaw mu OC...nag basa2x sad ko nga reviews and newbie guides online about OC...ako sad gibasa mga good and bad effects sa OC para ma aware ta kung unsai posible mahitabo..
last friday ra ko nag try OC sa ako i7-2600k...1st OC nako 4.0ghz...2nd OC 4.2ghz...3rd OC 4.5ghz...stock voltage ni cya tanan...as u can see sa ako results ako patas.an gamay ang CPU ratio until i get a stable results..

mao ni ako set-up..
procie: i7-2600k
mobo: Asrock p67 Fatality pro
ram: 2X2gb ddr3 2133mhz G.skill Ripjaw X
cpu cooler: Thermalright Venomous X Black Edition with 120mm Enermax magma Fans for push and pull

software i used to check the results:
1.CPUID-CPU-Z
-dri nmu makita ang OC sa imu procie..dri makita ang core speed,multiplier and bus speed

2.REAL TEMP
-dri makita ang temp sa imu procie..temperature monitoring ni cya na real time and accurate results

3.PRIME95
-mao ni cya ang mu stress test sa imu pc if stable ba cya...dri sad makit kung naa ba mga errors

gi.unsa nako pag OC?---OC ni to 4.5ghz ha..
1.ad2 ko BIOS..kahuman ad2 dayon ko sa OC TWEAKER na option
2.change nako cpu ratio to 45
3.speed step ako gi.enable ( wla ko kabaw if naa ba ni sa uban procie ha kay ang sandy bridge naa man)
4.turbo boost power limit ako gi manual
5.core limit ako gi 300
6.BCLK ako gi 100
7.disable nako ang power saving
8.DRAM volt ako gi 1.5volts
9.ako ni gisave sa BIOS kahuman exit nako sa BIOS..
10.ako dayon gipadagan ang CPUID para makita nako ang results sa ako OC..REALTEMP para ma monitor nako ang temp sa ako procie..sa ako lng ha dli ko nahan lampas 75-80 degress..kahuman ani ako na gipadagan ang PRIME95 para test kung stable ba ang ako pag OC..sa ako nabasa ang uban stress nila sa PRIME95 for 10 hours..pwde sad 1hour...ako gali 42 minutes ra..ehehehe

mao ni resulta...na OC nako from 3.40ghz to 4489.8mhz (4.5ghz with 1.28 volts)



basa sad mga terminology sa pag OC para maka sabot ka sa mga terms bah pareha ana BCLK or cpu ratio and uban pa..

sa ako set-up karun bai na sandy bridge sayon ra au pag OC...naa ko i3 na set-up sa una wla to naka na OC jud so wla ko idea unsa.on pag OC sa uban procie...ingon ako kaila lisod daw mag OC sa mga karaan na procie kay daghan ka i.consider but sa ako set-up bai tweak lng nmu cpu ratio and core limit pyts na..OC naka...ehehehe..

hope nakatabang ko sa imu pagka kuryuso sa pag OC...

sa pag OC bya bai kay ONCE YOU POP..YOU CANT STOP..ahahaha..

ako target jud sa pag OC bai kay 4.8ghz or 5.0ghz...pero 4.7ghz palng BSOD na,so palpak ako 4.7ghz na OC..try nako 4.8ghz hoping na basin makaya..ang nahitabo dli na mu dagan ang OS..ahahaha..naka butang sa ako screen MACHINE ERROR....dagko.a lagi sa ako singot..ahahaha...try nako 4.6ghz mudagan ang pc but pag PRIME95 test na nako mu palong na ang PC so unstable cya...

so...4.5ghz ra jud ntawn ako kaya...ehehehe

good luck sa imu pag OC bai...take your own risk jud ang pag OC..basin mapareha ka nako na dagko au ko singot...ahahaha

kaya sa ako rig 4.2ghz..stock setting tanan except sa cpu ratio and BCLK...stable cya bai....

karun 24/7 ko pc naka tweak 4.0ghz...cpu ratio and BCLK ra ako gi change...so posible jud cya bai..ehehehe

Bitaw oi. Nindot i.OC ang mga Intel kaysa sa mga AMD para nako. Knhanglan cguro ta.as nga voltage ang mga AMD unless someone here can show to me an OC'ed AMD with very low voltages.
