You should learn about CSS 5, HTML 5, AJAX (and its many front-ends), open source database and "cool" languages like Python, Ruby and PHP.

Then you can proceed to the serious platforms like J2EE, .Net, etc. There's a job out there for all kinds of IT but you have to choose your niche and be willing to learn new stuff. What's cool today could be dead by tomorrow so fast adaptation is key. However, certain concepts in programming stay the same for a long time (Object orientation, versioning, ORM)...

I mean, come on! CSS5? Really? Wala pa gani browser na ni fully support ug CSS3 abot na cyag CSS5. Gkan tingai ni siya sa future.

And AJAX with "it's many front-ends"? I can't even start to think how this makes sense.

Then come the "cool" languages. Unsa ni? for lack of a better word? "Cool"?! Computer Scientists do not use the word, "Cool" to describe a programming language nor should anyone.

It. Just. Does. Not. Make. Sense.

A programming language cannot be, in every sense of the word, described as "Cool".

Again. It. Just. Does. Not. Make. Sense.

Python cannot be used as a means to determine the temperature of an object. Ruby is not the language of choice by the hip kids. And PHP is not a word that you use to describe how you kept your head in the game by playing it cool.

So, please, let's drop this pretentious act and, at least, try to exhibit some form of interest in actually learning.

@TS- there is no one field in IT that pays particularly higher than the rest. but in my experience, freelance ang tag-as ug rate. Kay ikaw mn mag negotiate directly sa customer. Dli companya, dli BPO, dli imong migo nga dako kaayo ug kaltas. =P

Apan lng, lisud ipangita ug client. Pde ka mangita ug kaila nga daghan connections and work your way up from there.
