Relocating from Manila to Cebu

hi sir...welcome na sa Cebu....you will surely love it... i fell inlove in cebu .. same manila po rin galing pero d best place ever..
im not sure pero ill ask my mom kng pwede ka mag stay sa 1 bed sa house... peaceful cya kce subdivision po..kng mactan ang hilig mo may kalayuan from cebu city proper...distance is like Megamall to taft...
may mga bedspacers din sa cebu...what else, bohol is just one banka ride..ung may makina.. tapos ung bantayan matagal tlaga..dulo kce ng cebu un pero nice....ung waterfalls kng gusto mo sa kawasan..nice din un...ilang oras lang rin nmn...and you enjoy the view... kya tlagang best bet ang cebu.kng san carlos ka dun ka sa tlamban humanap ng rooms.marami dun kce halos puro chix..este students dun! trafic hindi gaano like manila na hindi na gumagalaw kng jan sa edsa kamuning hehehehe... daming gigs at tambayan kya d ka mahohomesex...este homesik... welcome ulit dito sa Cebu bai!

uy! salamat! saan house niyo? I'll try muna maghanap near USC kakahiya naman. mukhang hindi nga ako mahohomesex diyan LOL! lapit lang lahat ng dream vacation destinations ko eh. Though I won't indulge much in gigs and tambayans para di madistract sa pagaaral. Gusto ko lang mapuntahan ang Bantayan and Mactan Islands.

WELCOME sa CEBU... barato (mura) lang ang bedspace sa Cebu (ranges from 1K to 2K) pero kung room (3K to 5K).. sa pagkain barato ra sad (mura lang din)... traffic sobrang OK pwera lang kung rush hour (pero hindi git-gitan)...

Cebuanos would really appreciate you if you would invest some time and effort to learn the local language.

I know the language kaya lang hindi ko naman kasi nagagamit kaya hirap ako magsalita. Puro mga bisaya mga kamag-anak ko, Davaoeno, Cebuano at Surigaonon kaya makasabot ko ug mga sulteng bisaya. I'll get fluent eventually siguro during my stay there

Good day guys!

I'll be relocating to Cebu next month. Well, actually, I'll just be staying there for six months for my CE board exam review. I'm enrolled in Padilla Review Center which is located along Sanciangko St. and is near University of San Carlos.

just some questions

1. How far is University of San Carlos from the airport?
As far as I could remember, parang MOA to De La Salle University sa TAFT.

2. What's the average rent for rooms or bed spaces along the vicinity? Can you guys recommend me a nice place to stay where I can study in peace
(and in budget :P)?
Can't help with this. Sorry. I suggest fern-peewee's idea though.

3. Of course, I'd also want to explore Cebu while studying there so, how far is Mactan Island, Bohol, and Bantayan Island from there (and how do I go to those places)?
The airport is in Mactan Island so yea, parang MOA to TAFT. Bohol is another island and there is no other way to go there but to ride on fastcraft OR travel south and ride a pumpboat. Bantayan Island is tip of Cebu. Medyo malayo so you have two options. Road Trip and I suggest you take the Ceres Lines. It's approximately 5 hours(?), not so sure. OR you could take the MidSea Express, a 45 minute aerial ride to Bantayan Island. Or I can take you there for free if I'm crossing to Bantayan. Haha

SYEMPRE, even if you are attending a review class, don't forget to have a life. Haha. Party/Dine at It Park, visit Ayala Center Cebu and SM.

bro daghan kaayo cebu based blogs that you can check for the must see places sa cebu as well as directions on how to reach these places... and also you may want to go to Camotes Island sad... it's getting as popular as Bantayan.

I know your not one.. but wag lang sanang magyayabang and compare Manila to Cebu... kasi the two places are not equally the same... what lacks in Cebu can be compensated with the warm hospitality of the cebuanos...

Sometimes most coming from Manila and Luzon, ridicules and parang minamaliit nila ang mga taga province... hope your not like some of them....
