ahem dodong...you are mighty judgemental. alam mo....the bible teaches us to be responsible yes....and once you are married...your responsibility is to your IMMEDIATE family....kaya leave the father and mother and cleave to the spouse eh...ang problem natin sa mga pinoy....we twist the responsibility part...

they did say they give...READ AGAIN....ang sabi nila...ang mga nakakatanggap...INGRATO! mao man yan ba...kung bigay ka...nagiging tamad...wala pa jud salamat....pero kung di ka makabigay dahil maybe tax season or you need to buy something for yourself (and it is not wrong to do so btw...)....hayyuuunnn....murahin ka na to the highest heavens na kesho TIHIK ka...or SELFISH.... or IRRESPONSIBLE.

You cannot bring nga your money to the grave....but you can bring your obnoxious attitude right?  You are sarcastic and knows-it-all pero ignorante naman...you are judgemental and have selective reading capacities...kasi ang naaalala mo lang ang certain lines without reading the whole context...ang tawag sa mga ganyan na read ng bible..mga heretics....read a part and take it out of context.

huwaawwwww...reality check...you are NOT obligated to help everyone.  immediate family yes...but everyone in your clan? nakuuuuuu i wish u luck. you say there are people who do not know how to tingin sa pinanggalingan....but there are also people who set themselves up for abuse from relatives.

you say set up a biz for them? you cant open a biz...then expect a relative to run it to success...more like run it to the ground.  why do you think there are so many poor SECOND AND THIRD GENERATION businessmen?  kasi di nila pinaghirapan...wala sila MALASAKIT sa negosyo.

siguro nga pagdasal namin nga makalabas ka...para malaman mo nga IT AINT ALWAYS GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE CHONG.

Hello Mother Dee! what a nice lemon surprise let's make lemonade instead of buying juice maka save na ta ana, hehehe ganda and lush ng greeneries ng yard mo and look at those lemons. Abi baya nako dili motubo ang lemons dinha where did you get the seedlings for that? Gusto ko mag plant naman ug Calamansi dire naa baya baligya nga Calamansi in the pot pero mahal and then akong frugal mind will think, kamahal sab sa Calamansi tree dire unya kung mopalit ko basin mamatay. Sayang lang money, hehehe

Gamay pa isi Anton at least you have a gardening assistant he might be a green thumb!

my tita has several of those trees scattered around her yard and ang seedling namin came from actual growing it from the seed which you can do with the calamansi. mas dugay mu-last ang plant na dili markot. we have markotted that lemon (u can see it sa second pic) and i want it planted sa harap ng bahay to replace one of the calamansi trees. we right now have 3 calamansi trees out front and it has gone past its pamumungang-grabe-sobrang-dami stage. whereas before na we could get calamansi good for several glasses...karon sows...igo ra pang-sawsawan. hahayyy.

@ms beau - you can plant that in a very big pot. go ahead. it will take quite a while to grow it....but maaannn...it is worth it gyud. parang such a big sense of accomplishment baga.

Ang una namin comment was that you immediately judged people nga wala nanghatag when what they said was... naglagot sila sa mga relatives na tamad na hingi ng hingi.  Relatives na ingrato.

Sagdi lang dong... siguro eventually your time to go abroad will come... (heaven knows when that will be coz u do not approve of buwag ang husband and wife...which is ironic din na gusto mo sya buwagan unta) then we all hope na KAMI ang mali.... na lahat ng relatives mo di tulad ng relatives ng 99% of the population of the Filipinos abroad.  Pero...in my opinion.... your primary responsibility is your wife... and your kids... bahala na if your wife is someone whom you think is sooo bad that you are wanting to split up with her.  Your kids man kaha gyud imo inspiration.  So...before you start helping other relatives, make sure that the future of your kids are in place na.  Invest in  insurance....para naman when they get to graduate, they have puhunan for biz. Or even when they get to school meron ka pangdagdag sa schooling.

You are on the right track man.  Making money big money is only possible if you control your income and you are already doing that by being in business for yourself.  I see you in the buy and sell threads.  Padakua pa gyud na imo fleet diha.

And one more thing...no...I am not married but I do not have to be a wife to know what my responsibilities should be.... what should be done.  Just like you dont need to be a drug addict to know it is disastrous to any family life..... right?

    PEACE!

let me interrupt, rey04 and mother dee....

i feel bad that the discussion has turned out like this. being the threadstarter, my only intention is to share some frugal tips and ideas as well as elicit yours. I did react to your comments, rey04, and i apologize if it sounded a bit harsh...im sure i could have phrased it differently or i should have been impartial.

i believe it was just the way things were written...im sure we are not that different, pareho ra man ta ba we care for our families and we even care for one another else we wouldnt bother sharing our thoughts /advice here. it's jsut how we wrote our comments im sure...let us let those go. remember we are not professional writers so what we wrote fell short of what we intended to convey. mao na pasensya nalang ta and let it go. let us be civil to one another.

thank you and i would really love to hear your frugal tips and ideas. Peace to us all!

who was picking a fight sis? hehehehehe.

anyways.... i have always been opinionated. do not apologize for something you believe in.  in time bitaw...people will see who was left with his/her foot in his/her mouth.  i am a member of good standing... i have never been warned.

i totally agree with letting things go sister. otherwise i wouldnt have posted my lemon tree.  coz what does one do when life deals you lemons? YOU MAKE LEMONADE! hehehehehe
