hehehe! ive posted this again and again already...for the real FACTS...please read
    https://www.istorya.net/forums/index.php?topic=37030.0

*3370# is the code to activates EFR or Enhanced Full Rate codec on nokia phone itself... thus calls will use up about 20% to 50% more power hinuon!

to deactivate EFR code is #3370#...this changes codec to Full Rate only thus saving battery life compared to having EFR activated during voice calls only.

this code doesnt work on newer phones as they have been set to default using EFR for best audio quality. they only automaticaly switch it off when the network doesnt support EFR codec. no manual overide/setting...much like some 3G phone varients wont let you have manual selection of network modes. as far as i know nokia never gave users manual sellection on which frequency to use even on their triband phones, they switch automaticaly.

there is no such thing as reserved battery...their is such a thing as backup battery but it cant function the phone, it only keeps the clock running after total drain of ur main battery or removal of the main battery.

this code may be used by some dual sim modules to switch between sims. but one has nothing to do with the other. these codes work only for dual sim modules that switches between the two sims by power down and power up sequence. in changing EFR settings the phone needs to reboots before the newsettings are applied thus the sim switches to the other. in 3G phones, try switching to a differnt network mode, diba the phone will also reset before new changes take effect. with newer communicators like 9500 try activating ur msg lockout, the phone will also reset.

in much older phones *4720# and #4720# also resets the phone as new codec settings is applied.

when your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code.
They will then be able to block your handset
112 works even without sim card. but useless really.
however try using that here in the philippines, you will only hear a prompt to dial another number for emergency assistance. but when you dial that other number nothing

as for IMEI blocking, try it...you'll get no where if you go to the networks.
networks will claim they cant block any phone. even if the networks could block them for you (which technicaly they can) they can only block it from being used in their network...so if ur network is smart and it gets blocked they simply can use TM, globe, sun or other sims with the phone.
anyways, going back, the networks will claim only NTC can do that IMEI blocking. going to NTC youll have to go thru paper works and hassel that its hardly worth the time. also as far as i know (last i checked) NTC blocked phones can still work with SUN sims. and in most cases (unless its the latest phones) IMEI can be tampered with by malicious individuals.

lastly (this gave me the biggest laugh), how can you leave your remote control inside ur locked car?
dont you need ur remote to lock the car in the 1st place...this is just stupid!
as far as i know you can't lock new cars with remote controls without the key or the remote.
god knows its impossible to lock the car from the outside without the remote or key with my 12 year old corolla.
ive installed a couple of these devices and again all my experience its in contradictory to what is claimed here.
also car remote DO NOT work the same way as telephones and answering machines...they use RF to trigger opening the locks! not TONES & BEEPS!! cellphones do not retransmite RF transmition over the connection!
also why the heck do you need to put the phone close to the door?? the receiver are more likely under the hood or under the dash...not along the door panel much more the door handle (or as gagay posted, the doorknob)...hehehe...
please someone prove me wrong...or ill die laughing!!

You can subscribe to the networks locator/tracker services. Hide the cellphone in your vehicle. Now you can track your vehicles whereabouts. Of course it should be connected to the vehicles power system.

    bwahahaha!!! I love this!
how can the speaker of your cellphone transmit the RF signals used by your car's keyless/remote lock/unlock control? a cellphone's speakers transmit audio signals not RF signals.
If anyone tried... the cellular networks surely earned a few seconds or minutes that you wasted while doing it.

On second thought, tingali diay ug tinuod...try nako beh...bwahahaha

i disagree that cars with remote can only be locked with the remote keys when outside the car.

a friend of mine once na lock iya car while the engine is running. he went out of his car to get something but when he comes back lock na. maybe it depends on the setting of the remote on when it will lock the car. dba some cars automatically locks the door wen u start driving.

yes there are setup to automaticaly lock the doors when the engine is turned on and all doors are closed.
but it shouldnt autolock again when the engine is on already and autolock was already performed then the door is opened(unlocked so the driver can get out) and closed again...else it wasnt installed right.
the majority of default systems ive encountered take max of 1-2 sec once engine is turned on, if one door hasnt been closed after 1-2sec then the auto locks wont trigger. therefore for this thing to happen, you have a seconds to step out of the car and close the door after turning on the engine for any chance to lock the car with the key/remote inside with no one inside (u have to be flash or quicksilver to lock the car keys inside hehe). a problem with the setup above is when the driver goes in the car closes the door and turns the engine on just a seconds before the passengers reaches out to the door and try to open it, lock na pro side to this setup (lockup under 2sec) is security specially for people who drive alone(who normaly dont have passengers with them).

HOWEVER ive heard other installers extending the timer to 10secs or even as long as 30secs to trigger the autolocks. this is bad and shouldnt be done as it really defeats the purpose of convience+safety of having a remote/alarm system. another issue with extending the timer, say the driver goes in the car turns on the engine awaiting for the boss to get in, then the boss yell pop the trunck, he pops the trunk from beside the seat, goes out closes the door and move to the back of the car to help load up the trunk...ayon 20secs later keys inside the car, engine running, doors locked another draw back in safety is when you get in the car, you give holdupers/car nappers 30secs to open the unlocked doors and get to you anyhow, bottomline i dont recommend this setup.

the best setup specially if you have passangers is for locks to auto trigger once you start driving (put it in gear)
and with this setup, its again impossible to lock the car without the key or remote when no one is inside heheehe! diba?!

again, god knows its impossible to lock the car from the outside without the remote or key with MY 12 year old corolla. thats key and remote inside the car with windows closed ha....hehehe
