The development team behind the Age of Empires series brings Halo to the RTS genre with Halo Wars. Set before the events of Halo 1, the game lets you lead human armies in their first battles against the Covenant.

Well Halo was originally developed as an RTS game (this was before MS got interested in the project for the first Xbox). Nice to know it's coming back to it's roots. I'm no big RTS fan but I'm excited for some reason.

Also, if you guys read my other post... aside from producing a Halo movie, Peter Jackson & his partner will be developing 2 games for the Xbox 360.... one of which will be based on Halo. So it's Halo movies here, Halo games there. I wouldn't be surprised if EA develops a game called 'NBA Halo 2009', Nintendo developing 'Halo Go Kart Racing' or even Capcom coming up with 'Resident Halo'
