nope, your acutally supporting the publishers >_> developers are already being paid no matter what. and face it, why support a publisher that likes to screw its paying customers.

Darconian DRM, I mean I have to be always online for an OFFLINE game?!
Shoddy ports, and don't get me started on the DLC crap, 5 dollars for a freaking Horse Armor?!

i think some publishers are paid royalty fees in addition to their base pay.

id still buy original games if i enjoy its multiplayer value. while its true that there are asshole publishers *cough.ACTIVISION.cough* there are still competitors worth supporting due to the greater customer support and cheaper games like EA now. take the call of duty versus battlefield series for example. call of duty is just a rehashed version of previous call of duty titles. its basically the same game engine with newer characters and gun models. meanwhile battlefield keeps innovating with every release. To think COD costs more than BF. gamers now think Activision is the new EA and this is why dako sad ang chance nga masurpass ang COD MW3 sa BF3 soon enough. dont get me wrong. I have original COD2 to COD MW2 BF2 and BF:BC2 so im not making baseless accusations.
