Default Re: Is Allah the God and Father of Christ Jesus of Nazareth?

[QUOTE=Kenshiro;9779258]Well Buddha is different it emphasizes on mental nirvana, or mental ecstasy with morality and good teachings. Buddha is not Christ so its totally different from christianity.

Mohammed is a prophet not a God.
What I meant is back to the topic that Christianity its God and Allah are both the same because Islams God is also the God of Abraham and Moses.
Yes i got it brod! Honestly, I really don't have deeper knowledge to share if these 3 Abrahamic religions of Monotheism worships the same GOD. What I only have known are the words of Jesus in the bible regarding the teachings about His father. Lisud naman jud tinuod i-trace back and history in our time labi na of the technology karon that we can even tamper anything which will appear to be the same as genuine. What we only have is the bible and other sources that proves Jesus which dates back to the early christian era.

But how they worship or perceive God is different from Christianity. However the question is does how we worship and perceive God matter? Answer is Yes.
Didn't Cain and Abel worship the same God?
You have a very good point here brod! That's why Jesus was sent by the father to let us know the way and the truth. If we consider other ways aside from the one what Jesus taught, then we will be nothing more like Cain and what he did as a means of worshiping God.

That is what I view them But Im not scholar i didn't post here to show you all I know everything that is why I would ask can you give me your sources on the difference of Christian God and Islams? It would be good to find out.

    Is Allah the God of Jesus(pbuh) the son of Mary (Muslims find this title of Jesus more appropriate)? The answer is YES. In the Qur’an we can read these that Jesus(pbuh) said;

    “…`Worship Allah my Lord and your Lord’….” Qur’an 5:117

“…But said Christ: "O children of Israel! Worship Allah my Lord and your Lord…." Qur’an 5:72

    And in the Bible we can also read these;

And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. John 17:3

And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments [is], Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord” Mark 12:29

Is Allah the father of Jesus?
Islam says that Jesus is the son of Mary and that he was born miraculously without a father. God is able to create whatever and whoever He wishes in any way which He wishes. God, who could create Adam from nothing and without a father or mother, could certainly create Jesus without a father. God created Eve from a father without a mother. The creation of Adam is more miraculous than the creation of Jesus.

Which is more logical? That God has a son or that Jesus is the son of Mary and God has no sons? What suits the concept of God better? Think and decide.

Following is an excerpt from “Discover Islam” book by Al-Jumuah Staff-Riyadh, 2003

Who is Allah? Do Muslims worship a different God?

Some people believe that Muslims worship a God that is different from the one worshipped by Christians and Jews. This might be due to the fact that Muslims often refer to God as “Allah”. This concept is false, since “Allah” is simply the Arabic word for the One True “God” Who created the universe and all humanity. Let be there be no doubt – Muslims worship the God of Noah, Abraham, Moses, David and Jesus (Peace be upon them all). However, it is certainly different concepts of Almighty God. For example, Muslims – like Jews – reject the Christian beliefs of the Trinity and the Divine Incarnation. This, however, does not mean that each of these three religions worships a different God - because, as we have already said, there is only One True God. Judaism, Christianity and Islam all claim to be “Abrahamic Faiths”, and all of them are also classified as “monotheistic”. However, Islam teaches that other religions have, in one or another distorted and nullified a pure and proper belief in Almighty God by neglecting His true teachings and mixing them with man-made ideas. Islam calls upon people to return to the One True God and to worship and obey Him alone. Islam teaches that God should be approached without intermediaries. That is because the Merciful All-Knowing God is completely in control of everything that exists and that He can bestow His grace and mercy on His creatures as He pleases; therefore no intercession, atonement or incarnation is necessary.

Arabic speaking people of all religions refer to God as “Allah”. For example, if you pick up an Arabic translation of the Christian Bible you will see the word “Allah” where “God” is used in English. Therefore, Allah is not the god of only the Muslims but the same God worshipped by all monotheistic faiths. This idea that “Allah” is different from “God” is illogical since it is tantamount to saying that the French worship a different “god” because they use the word “Dieu”, that Spaniards worship a different “god” because they say “Dios” or that the Hebrews worshipped a different “god” because they called Him “Yahweh”!

The Qur’an, which is the divine scripture of the Muslims, was revealed in the Arabic language, so Muslims use the word “Allah” for “God”, even when they are speaking other languages. A more literal translation of “Allah” into English might be “the One and Only God” or “the One True God”.

It should be clearly understood that what Islam is primarily concerned with is correcting humankind’s concept of the Almighty God. What people are ultimately going to be held accountable for at the end of their lives is not whether they preferred the word “Allah” or the word “God”, but what their concept of Him is. The true concept of God is clarified only within the message revealed by Him. The last message sent by God, or Allah, is the Qur’an.

Default Re: Is Allah the God and Father of Christ Jesus of Nazareth?

nice explanation brod! What matters most is our personal relationship with God.
I only have a little knowledge about Islam and i find some of its teachings as contradictory to the words of Christ and the apostles. In fact, some of the things that parted these 2 religions are the teachings of the original sin, the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus and concept of God (trinity).

There are some points that we need to consider also about the religion of Islam. One thing is, the revelation of the Koran. Since in the new testament it was told that the book is already sealed until the second coming of Christ and it was also written that we have to be aware of false gospels that is going to be taught aside from the gospel of Christ.

    Gal 1:7:
Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
    1Cor 1:17:
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
2Cor 4:4: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
2Cor 11:4: For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
Gal 1:8: But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Gal 1:9: As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
1Thess 1:5: For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.
2Thess 1:8: In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

    1Pet 4:17:
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

There are many beliefs today that if we will try to embrace would discredit the value of Christ's death and resurrection!

But if we think we are growing spiritually and our relationship with God despite of our interpretation of the truth, then we'll continue...in the end, God will be the judge!

Yes it's true brod. But just like the case of Cain and Abel, there is a form of worship which is acceptable unto God.
