there are reasons for not getting it, AFP is getting 2-in-1 helicopter thats why they get the Sokol.... and not the cobra since the cobra is dedicated gunship... and sokol can both be gunship and utility all of the same time...

a Hind is good candidate also but i would rather get sokol instead of those...

why not buying both SOKOL and cobra.. We know naa ta budget... hehe...

@noy.juan, sokol choppers are sked to arrive this april. i have a source from buenito airbase... its better than the huey i think coz its brand new,. hehehe

the afp chose the more practical.. a helicopter that can be either be converted to rescue, transport, attack or 3n1. anyway buying these comes in package.. it already includes the training for the aircrafts.

a dedicated AH can be too costly. not to mention its guns and missiles. and can only carry 2 persons both the pilot
