The link you posted is great but how you picture the equation is wrong..

48÷2(9+3)= <<--- 2(9+3) you have to simplify this first into a whole then divide 48 to your answer and you will have 2 for an answer.

If what was given is like this 48÷2x(9+3) = then you should have 288 for an answer.

Try reading that link you've posted again and you will know that the answer for this equation is 2.

Rule 1: First perform any calculations inside parentheses.
NOTE: INSIDE parenthesis, meaning 9+3 ra.. wa nay labot ang multiplied by 2 kay OUTSIDE naman na cya..

Rule 2: Next perform all multiplications and divisions, working from left to right.
NOTE: multiplications AND divisions in one step, not all multiplications first and THEN all divisions..

tabla raman na 48 / 2 x 12

sakto unta na imo answer 2 kung mao ni sya 48 / (2(12)) or 48 / (2 x 12)
