actually, 2(12) is 2*(12), parenthesis indicates a multiplication operation of outside terms.. parenthesis also indicates grouping, grouping of the operations inside. not including outside. ^_^.. so when you group 2(9+3) dili included ang 2 sa grouping.. ^_^
