I always thought MDAS means to do multiplication AND division BEFORE addition AND subtraction. Meaning M and D is done in order from left to right AND THEN A and S done from left to right... not multiplication first THEN division THEN addition THEN subtraction...

If presented in one line like the way the TS has posted, I would say the result would be 288.

If I'm wrong I guess all the mathematical computations in your computer are also wrong also since this is the order of how it is computing equations... even Microsoft Excel, Openoffice Spreadsheet and Google agrees with me on this...
