I agree. I can most relate to your hate/love you've mentioned.
A perfect example is my father. He has 5 kids and a plain housewife. His resume consists of 38pages. just imagine how qualified and overqualified he is for positions we can never get. BUT he's lazy and just as miserable as everyone else with low self esteem. I was raised by my grandmom for 16yrs and started to work at 19yrs old and eventually became the head of the family. Ako ra jud ang ilang gihatag sa akong lola.
I am always bitter to my father for NOT being choosy.
He now works in the government -just monitoring water pipes and sitting all his hours in a dam* nipa hut. with a P285/day wage for his 5kids (2 in college, 1 with a live in partner - both have no work). He was not being choosy so for the sake that he has a job and he is earning, he never looked for anything else-he never chose to do better. Furthermore, (drama na kaayo.lol) since i was being choosy and realized that my family is in dire need of financial solutions, I took risks and did everything I can. I was always following the preferences I set and have been maximizing my time to do better in things I do.
My point is, there's also good things for being choosy. It's a win-win situation though.

I think mka relate pd ko nimu in a way but I'm still not a head of the family but way to go for you. We just have to gamble sometimes to get the things that we would want and to happen in our lives.

all the successful businessmen and persons in this world.. they were not successful in their fields if they did not met failures first...

life is all about risks jud.....it's up to you if you want to take that risk as a challenge.. .or you can just toss it away and loss the opportunity that would have change your entire life... if you had taken that risk....

kahinomdom man ko ani sa una...being choosy is sometimes good, sometimes bad.

I graduated college (5yrs) and took the engineering board (take 1) way back 2005. Syempre kung ikaw bago ka pasar ug board, taas jud na imong tanaw sa imong kaugalingun kay kunuhay passer na gd ka nya bago pang graduate, which in the later part immature d i kaau na nga prinsipyo.

Mag lumba pa mi sa una kung kinsa maka una ug trabaho ug padak-anay dayun ug sweldo...which is klaro kaau nga pride jud. I may say fortunately I landed a job nga ang sweldo pag 2005 is 8k flat minus tax, sss, pagibig and philhealth. Naka ingun ko nga mas daku pa mn akong allowance ani sa nag skwela pako which is 10k pesos at that time, wala pa koy kapoy.

After 4 yrs working in the Philippines my salary was still 12,357 plus meal, transpo and Japanese language proficiency allowance yet minus tax, pagibig, SSS and philhealth.

So akong aim at that time, bahala ug gamay sweldo, di lang ko mamili ug trabaho ug magtarong lang ko ug deskarte mo angat jud maski ginagmay. Ang importante ang panarbaho sa pinas ang experience ra na, aron inig gawas nimo naa kay karga...kay lisod sa atoa ug dinha ra ka magpabilin, mas maau ug mo gawas ka ug mag negosyo inig balik.

In the long run, deskarte ra gihapon ta mag daug...so dont be too choosy, kundi pagtoon ug deskarte.

this is a case to case basis... here in the philippines, more or less we have to be choosy in looking for a job... if you are an engineering graduate unya licensed ka, will u apply for a janitorial position or salesgirl/ salesboy sa gaisano?? di man siguro oie... kana sigurong dili ka college graduate, diha ka dili mamili og work...

kana sigurong naa ka'g abroad like sa US, Canada, australia new zealand, etc... applicable jud ning not to be choosy, despite unsa ka nindot sa imong course gi-graduate...
