mga sir naa man na sa forum rules... buy at your own risk. wla nay labot ang istorya ani. mao kamo moy makig deal... then its the buyers discretion kng paliton niya or dile besides cya moy maka kita sa product.

cguro ang point ni TS is be aware lang. nya kng pwede nga kabalo mo nga kinawat na ayaw nlang padayun(bisan tempting ang price) makaya kaha nimo? hehehehehe... nways, para lang daw dile maka support ug stolen goods. i doubt jud someone can resist the tempting low price (not opened/new/as new)stuffs!

bro, i'm just only a concerned citizen here. and besides, it's not a rule, is it? it's a warning. anyways, it's not enough to know the rules but also take it to heart and digest it. but why, did i breach a rule here? and we also know that not all people are aware of their own risk. so we need to remind them. do u think it's bad?

sa ako lang ha... dako jud kaau ug matabang ang IMEI, or serial number sa isa ka cellphone mao man gud na ang tima-ilhan! dili ang recibo!

indeed it's true that IMEI is very important in the part of the seller or owner of the phone. but i beg to disagree with ur opinion that the receipt isn't as important as the IMEI. the official receipt is still the most important proof of ownership of the brand-new phone when bought from a legitimate shop because it shows ur name as a buyer and complete detail or description of ur phone. of course, the phone and its IMEI are inseparable so it's no-brainer to say that IMEI is ur own because u have the phone in ur possession, isn't it?

again, if u challenge the ownership of the phone in the court, the court will always demand the official receipt (not reproductions of any sort or any telltale signs that offer doubt its authenticity) as the absolute proof.

again, the owner needs to know the IMEI of his phone and keep it safe in case his phone is stolen. so to the buyers of a second-hand phone, they need to demand the official receipt at most to ascertain its legal ownership to be safe.

to the buyers, IMEI doesn't offer a clue if it's stolen or not until the phone is blacklisted by all networks in the country rendering it totally useless or DEAD.

here is my point! -----> not all sellers can produce receipts for some reasons( buy and sell, depende diin na nila palita, either pinada ba or what),
but that doesnt mean nga kinawat ang gi-sell nga phone...

kad2 naa mga recibo jud sa unit meaning first owners ug real owners when you sell it i-apil na ninyu,

kad2 mga 2nd hand sellers ( it includes me) if makapalit gani ta ug unit nga atong ibaligya pud, much better cguro if naa sad recibo gikan sa atong gipalitan, bahalag 20 years ago pana ang recibo! but i guess muhatag man ta ug personal warranty sa phone diba?

and about sad if maka duding jud nga kinawat ang phone! well i guess naa man ta mga Instincts dba? mao gani g-usab ni nga forum dba? to prevent sa mga scammers nga namaligya ug stolen phones!

naa na bay naka suway ninyo ug pa block ug phone through reporting it's imei? morag dili mani in ani ka dali nga motawag lang ka nya tell them nga gikawat imo phone then give them the imei then i block na dayon nila. unsaon man pagkahibaw sa network provider nga ikaw jud ang owner sa phone nga imong gi report?


and about sa buying ug kinawat nga phones, i dont think it's easy to determine if the pheone is stolen or not, as someone already previously said wala man siguroy seller nga mo ingon ug "kinawat ni maong barato" so imoha na lang is personally check the item if it is in tiptop condition, kay dili man gud ka ka argue sa seller if moingon siya nga nawala ang receipt, or mo ingon siya nga pinaskohan ra, ang ang pangayoan nimo ug receipt ang nag regalo, or moingon siya nga dili ni iya gipabaligya lang, so dili kaayo siya suhito sa phone,

so ang paniguraduhon na lang gyud nimo is walay guba ang imong napalit.

yes! i can attest to this! i just recovered my htc desire yesterday which was lost last feb 14.

ky karon ang mga prendahanan ug phones mudawat na gyud bsag wai mga receipt, charger, accessories and so on. ang mga kawatan na enganyo na ug cge ug pang kuot, pang snatch tungod ana nila. especially sa PAG-ASA pawnshop kung asa akong phone nakit.an!

If naa kai imei and proof of purchase, then youre good to go. just pretend nga buyer ka sa phone. nia try to check the imei dayun upon inspecting.

nia if confirmed, ayaw sa saba nga imo. ad2 dayon sa police. patabang nila para ma retrieve ang imo phone.
