Oh from what I understand on the context, their facilities can't handle the volumes of subscribers they have, so they resort to the cowardly way of having a usage limit. At the end of another day, they'd make another press release that globe now offers a different plan for subscribers that want to utilize "no capping" bandwidth usage of course for another "reasonable" amount $$$. So where's your so called righteous idea of fair use policy now if ever that will happen?

E.g if my broadband plan is 10mbps, how in the world would I justify paying the monthly bills if I'm capped only to 1GB usage per day. Pagka-tonto!

curious ko how many users here actually consume 1 GB per day. I rarely consume 1 GB.
If they do implement this I hope it's 1 GB average not per day limit.

This is similar to Canada's Usage Based Billing , but the government stopped this billing before every internet companies could start adopting this ridiculous billing . Majority of Canadians strongly opposed this crap , and Netflix.ca threatened to stop their service in Canada .

Just when we thought internet was supposed to be faster , better , and CHEAPER . Loooooool ...

The main reason why a subscriber signs up for a particular bandwith is because it's what they need. If you talk about being fair, it means providing your customers' need/s in return to the money they have worked so hard for just to pay for your service. Come on, if you cant find ways to provide better service, do not impose any crazy and dumb ideas just to hav a way out.

For a common person who only goes online to check emails and opens facebook it'll work. That's why you subscribed @999 plan which is 384kbps or if you got lucky your using the 1mbps connection for the same amount as the 384kbps connection, orrrr your using once of those mostly no connection usb sticks from globe.

1 GB average not per day limit? Do you understand what you are talking about?
