I think I've already seen a thread similar to this..

It's just another alien movie... But this one is on steroids.

It's the typical Hollywood war movie, only that instead of US vs (Insert enemy country) it's against a bunch of very war tactic-savvy Extraterrestrials. I was expecting to be bored out of my brains but it was actually good. Not Academy Award-good but a fun ride nonetheless. Dili sad ingon ana ka-mabaw ang storya oi, you actually need to listen in to get the story (although if you're not the attentive type you'd still get the idea: beat the enemy). 3/5 Stars is a fair assessment.

Just watched the movie in Blue ray disc. For me the storyline is very good since its not predictable and it portrays the humans will to survive. I liked how they show the teamwork of the marines and they lived up to their motto of "not leaving anyone behind". Ok ra pud iyang graphics. Similar cya sa independence day its just that, focused lang cya sa ground forces and independence day kay focus pud sa aerial forces. Nindut pud and ni rakrakay nga scenes. For me its a fairly good movie.
