ing-ani na lang TS, determine usa imoha needs, then decide kung unsa nga upgrade path imo padungan... between the two upgrade paths you've mentioned, lga1155 provides more features than lga775... but ask yourself if you really need those added feautures based sa imoha needs karun... and, besides, going for the core2quads will be cheaper than buying a new mobo, a new procie, plus rams (assuming you're using ddr2's)... but if, you want to think long term, then go for lga1155, the SB's...
i think that's why lga775 is still around because they're damn cheap (compared to i-series anyway)... you'd get a decent gaming cpu for less than 15K... but once 1st gen i-series prices go down (with the introduction of SB), then you can say bye2x to your 775's... IMO... =)

i think its marketing strategy. if ila i mainstream ila i-series and tangtangon entirely ila 775, mwalaan sila pang kontra sa amd offers.

^^^^ sakto ka bro... marketing strategy gyud... plus lga775's are for the masses gyud... they are good for office pc's, encoding and light work load, good also for internet use... diri gani sa amoa planta, we use intel celerons and dual core procies, just right for our needs...

kaya ra gani unta p4 ako gi setup sa ako bro. saun ta man imbis na pang internet ra ug pag facebook, ang mga flash 10.1 games nag require naman dual-core and dxva acceleration, upgrade hinuon ahat aron d mukamang... pero OT na ni...

its because those amd procs that are in its level is still struggling to beat those processors. if only those cheap amd procs had beaten them to the punch, then intel would have stopped producing them.

unless Intel does something weird like suddenly dropping prices for their 1st gen i-series procies,then that would be a whole new ballgame... mao na TS, pag SB na lagi... hehehehe... or kung kahulat ka, wait for AMD's new offerings this coming June... =)

@werty- here's my current rig bro. core2quad 8200 2.4ghz, asus p5kpl socket 775, kingston ddr2 2gb, palit 9500gt 1gb ddr2.

@all- i think ill be going for SB pero mag wait lang sa ko para ma release nako ni akong setup run hehe.

1156 nalang bro kay stable na kaayo, if mag 1155 ka bag-o2x paman gud na and medyo mahal pa and maybe naa pana mga bugs ang chipset

plan pud ko mag sandy unta pero dili pa makaya sa bulsa jud.


if imo rig karun is ok pa don't upgrade sa just wait til 3rd quarter of the year kay i'm sure naa pa mas better sa mga current SBs and of course ang mga 1st release 2nd gen SB procs. mo lower na ang price

kaya pa man ako rig. but nahan sad ko mag explore sa lain nga chipsets. hehe and i think mag 1156 lang sa ko
