So I've heard. Poso (pusô?) is very famous along with siomai and some other street foods. "Way blima" na sa amo bai kay mga cowboy man pud mi diri sa Davao. Hehe.

Any idea how much the bill is gonna run if she'll take a cab from Alicia to Convergys banawa?

Mejo ok pa paminawon ang makuutan. Pero kuyaw gyud nang hold-apon. Hays I'm having second thoughts but I know those things are inevitable where ever you are. Even Davao is not always safe.

------------Already answered by someone else... Taxi na lang pero yayay na ang price. That distance is probably going to cost your GF 100-120Php.

- Is transportation available 24/7?
-----------PUJ and Taxi is avilable 24-7 esp near Alicia and CVG Banawa

- Is it safe to ride PUJ early in the morning? Let's say around 2:00am. (call center agent)
------------Not so. PUJ is about 20% unsafe during such time.

- How much is the average carenderia meal in Cebu?
------------About 50 pesos average. The cheaper ones are at 30 pesos.

my main concern here for both you and your gf is security
though I don't want to give you the impression of Cebu as unsafe to dwell im simply being realistic
but its nothing like Davao when it comes to security
I have been to Davao twice and the last one was that year of 2008 of Dec
I carried with me my DSLR freely even to that public market in Barkerohan with ease of mind
though anywhere things could always happen but I'm sad to say Cebu is like becoming almost a haven
for street thugs and jeepney borne scums

Blend in and don't make yourselves conspicuous as "outsiders" or tourist---target for cabs for that
unscheduled and unsolicited "whole city tour" and overcharging you
Learn the to speak cebuano...accent, vernacular and all

Taxi drivers na mangingilad are common here in Davao, too. I guess it'll be a challenge for us pero maanad ra gihapon mi kay I know gamay ra ang Cebu.

I'm just wondering nganong mas daghan ang tulis sa downtown than in rural areas? Murag baliktad man hinuon? And I'm still trying to imagine how someone can mug you when you are in a jeepney. Manguot ba or hold-apon gyud ka sa jeep?

Karon ni gara na pud mga tulisan, mangungu-ut, snatcher and becoming more daring kay wala na vigilantes...tnx to the support of some Criminal---I mean...Human Rights Activists or some church groups here in cebu
