War is a very good business for them.
The UN has authorized no-fly zone for the purpose of protecting the population from airstrikes by Gadhafi who believes he can cling to power through violence against his own citizens. The resolution specifically does not allow UN ground forces so there will be no invasion or occupation. The way I see it we are just making a level playing field. What happens next is a matter for the Libyan majority.

Why the double standard? It is really because of human rights abuses? How about the genocide in Palestine carried by the Zionist Jews? The indiscriminate bombings of civilians in Lebanon, in Afghanistan and in Iraq? The bloody crushing of the protesters in Bahrain?

Hmmmm, this is all about GREED! The US and its allies is in Financial Crisis they need wars to sucks the resources of other countries. They FREEZE Libyan assets and used as if they own it to bankroll their economies. SHAME ON THEM!

@ JcBoY: Let's be realistic, they didn't freeze Libyan assets they froze Gadhafi's loot the same as they did with Egypt. Why?.... because that money belongs to the country not some corrupt megalomaniac, self-appointed leader. That money will be returned to Libya as soon as a legitimate government is formed. If only the UN was as useful back in the early 1980's Phils would not have had to endure Marcos.

The UN has been much criticized in the past for not doing enough. Things are changing and now the UN is performing useful duties and making a real difference in the World. Dictators are no longer untouchable and IMO that's a good thing.

As for Israel, well they are losing friends fast. Several European countries expelled Israeli diplomats recently due to their shenanigans and support in the US is at an all time low.

The last time I checked, the United States has not announced its stand with Libya. Only France, Italy and Britain have promised to help.

ghadafi declared ceasefire but in reality ongoing gihapon ang attacks. confirmed nana ang aljazeera ang russia today naa mga video na ongoing gihapon ang attacks against its citizen.

if an attack should be carried out on ghadafi's administration. it should be swift and decisive. the usa and its allies has the technology to do it . ang problema sad gud aning mga gubat gud nila kay negosyo naman kaau. the bigger the money magastos nila mas maau anyway its not their money kung dili money sa mga tao. so ang pirming ginansya kay ang mga military contractors and those companies na mka benefit during and after the war. ang mga tao sa kalibutan pirming pildi.

i don't know it its just greed or they are really worshiping an evil being.

nagsalig man ni si Gaddafi sa iyang mga bodyguards

Moammar Gaddafi’s 40-membered bodyguard is known worldwide as the Amazonian Guard, is composed of entirely women. To qualify for this position the women must be virgins and are hand picked by the leader himself. Make no prior judgments of these women due to their looks, not only are they trained to kill, but to protect and die for him. It has been said many of these women are of Cuban decent (due to Cuba’s close relationship with Gaddafi) as well as Libyan decent. In addition, they are trained in martial arts and the use of firearms in an academy before they enter service. It has been said that Gaddafi has up to 200-300 female guards in his service, ready to serve him any time.

Gadhafi is like some weird cartoon character.

It amazes me that Libya, Cuba and Venezuela are such buddies and claim to be pillars of socialism when all three places either are or are well on the way to being dictatorships. They may have revolution in their history, but what did the ordinary people get out of it?... they lost their rights, their voice, their individuality and their future!
