We are 100% sure as of now till the chips come out, I really wish AMD can get back at the game so prices will rapidly drop, they are both behind in CPU and GPU.

Absolutely you're too wrong about saying AMD GPU is behind you could ask even your self who's still the KING of GPU's....AMD ATI remember? so don't say too much criticism about AMD. Been using AMD for sooooo loonnggg and yes I am satisfied, although their processors are behind over INTEL but mind bro...BULLDOZER is coming and we will not know how AMD will RISE up again and will BULLDOZZZEEE all the intel thing...

Nope, you need AM3+ new socket.

AMD is behind on the GPU performance between their single card flagship models ( 6970 vs 580 ) you can even do a google search on most games, the 580 and the gap is quite significant in a lot of games.

Im not criticizing AMD nor I have the reason to do so, just throw away the fanboism for a few mins and learn how to accept facts.

Im actually thankful for AMD since w/o them GPU prices would be sky high, but they do need to up their ante on the CPU side.

Ever wonder why the 6970 is only 17-18k while the 580 is 22-23k, since ATI's top card is not able to compete at a performance level theres no reason for nvidia to drop prices. But if you look at the 570/560/460 competition is fierce on that segment.

Sure AMD can make a comeback with the 6990 but dual GPU is a different story and a niche market.

Anyway this is about the CPU and not whos favorite company is faster.

Go AMD make faster CPU's I would root for you guys to out perform the 2nd generation i7!

hmmm.. the last time AMD took the crown from Intel, i think it was during the Athlon days (correct me if i'm wrong) but when C2D came, sila na pod gi lampaso ug balik..until now sige gihapon sila ug gukod sa Intel (in terms of performance ha, para klaro), I hope the Bulldozer can compete the SB in terms of performance (again) at a lower price...
