Their complaint is the aid workers are not able to get them out of Japan ASAP. So just coz dili nila makuha ilang gusto, incompetent na ng mga workers >_>

1st) They are whining coz dili nila makuha ang ilang ganahan.
2nd) By doing that, they are showing that they only care for themselves and always wants the easy way out.
3rd) Hence, there is no way in hell they will work in our country when the time comes.

    Demanding is different from whining.
Did they mention the aid workers that was sent didn't give them food? No
Did they mention the aid workers that was sent neglected their survival needs? No

Did they mention they want to get our of there? YES

And here's the definition of an aid worker straight from the dictionary : "someone who works for an organization that brings food and other supplies to people in danger from wars, floods, etc"

Hence since they didn't complain about not being given supplies and such, the aid workers have actually done their job.

So getting them out of that hell hole is beyond what those aid workers capabilities. And if I was one of these aid worker and some brat demands to go home to their country instead of receiving basic survival commodities, I too will ask them on what to do.

Once again, they are already receiving the help that they need, not just the help that they want. And being such selfish bastards that they are, they RAGE and whine coz they can't get what they want ASAP

@DeathFox: are you purposefully being blind? did you actually read their letter?

they did mention that they were promised food. emphasis on "promised".

the whole point of their letter was to show that their survival needs were being neglected.

they WOULD and they SHOULD mention this because it is integral to their survival.

it's good that you brought up the meaning of "aid worker". reread their letter, open your mind a little and think. then you'll see what the problem is.

whether the aid workers actually have the capability to get them out of the place (and please don't call it a hell hole. don't be so crass.), we here don't really know. what we know is that it is the job of the government and its aid workers to help these people AND they are failing miserably.

no sir, i don't think you'd be one of those aid workers. you lack the necessary sympathy. also, you'd be a sucky aid worker if you came to help someone and then did not know what to do. its like giving someone CPR by going up to them and asking how to perform CPR.

Again, they are NOT getting the help that they need. it's the whole point of their letter! Read the letter and please stop calling them "selfish bastards". they are in need of assistance, they probably have little or no supplies and they are in a state of panic. what is wrong with you that you cannot empathize with them? have you seen the pictures of the devastation that has happened in japan? can you not see how bad things are over there?

what gives you the right to sit there on your high horse and judge them as selfish and whiny? have you gone through and survived a natural disaster, sir?

in my short life, i have had the benefit of going through two major typhoons in this country. we almost lost our home and we had to deal with weeks of no water, electricity and limited food supplies. what i have gone through would not even come close to comparing to what these people are going through and yet i would not want to go through it again. i can't even imagine what these poor students are going through.

Yeah, and all I was able to read was "Blah Blah Blah, RAGE, blah blah blah, we want to get out of here, blah blah blah, we're the only Filipinos here so we must be prioritized, blah blah blah, they can't get us out of here so they are incompetent, blah blah RAGE, blah RAGE, blah blah blah"

Since you "survived" two disasters yourself, your feeling you have a connection with them. But the truth is it just makes you blind in seeing that these brats are selfish whiners.

They are selfish coz they think they should be the priority out of the thousands of other Filipinos (who by the way are OFW, the one that are actually sending money to the Philippines)

And they are whiners coz instead of just having patience, they resort to this crap coz they didn't get what they want.

Events like these will bring out either the "worst or the best" character of the Filipinos.
and this goes to all individual whether they are affected or not, directly or indirectly.

some PNOYs have been doing what they can already to help those who are out there in the
crisis laden areas. financial assistance, in kind, prayers and even simple well-wishes. Some are physically there to help them move out and extract to safe areas.

whether these people are in Egypt, Crisis loaded Middle East, New Zealand or in Japan they all deserved
equal attention by our Gov't. But with our very limited Gov't Resources, the Gov't can only do so little.

It's true that the DFA budget was slashed over 40% and now the Gov't is bragging it has POSITIVE variance on their YEAR-TO-DATE budget. I believe they all understand the term "REALLIGNMENT OF BUDGET" as the situation calls for it.

    SO HANG ON THERE GUYS.

It is very easy to say screw them, spoiled brats and the sort because we are here, safe, facing the computer reading posts and commenting. How about putting yourself in their shoe? If you are there right now, right in Sendai, disaster-torn city. How would you react? Knowing that their is an eminent threat or let say, things are so unpredictable each passing day? The least you can do to your distressed fellow Filipino is understand them. Though the government is doing their rescue efforts. But dili man gud na malikayan nga magPanic/shock or whatever, after all those things nga naExperience nila ngad2.

Grabe naman pud, it's our right to demand to our government. And not because they demand things, la napud cla gibuhat to survive there. How would anyone of you know that? Wala ba jud kaha clay gbuhat para sila moSurvive or makaGawas ngad2?

What I'm trying to say here is, they may have demanded and it may seems too demanding.. but as a fellow Filipino, (especially if you experienced such situations) I hope you guys would feel for them and understand what they're going through instead of condemning them and telling them to go to Hell. The least we can do is pray for them (if you believe in God) and encourage them to hang on tight. Is it really that hard for us to give?

Yeah, we should just go all out and focus all the help on these few dozen who are making demands rather the the few thousands who are waiting patiently. So their lives have become more important coz they have the audacity to proclaim that they matter more than the others. >_>
