B&S, Search and Newbies

My boss here in the office has created a new account solely for himself to look around in B&S. I do know that B&S has stern rules to Newbie accounts. I have explained to him that you do need to post something so you can start posting threads or posts in B&S but newbies are barred in using the search function?

Don't get me wrong, I don't seem to understand either. I've been reading posts to the limitations of B&S to newbies but is this a bug or setting left out?

(Right now my boss is using my account. As long as he doesn't do anything, i'm fine with it )

If it has been disabled on purpose ... then there has to be a reason why. Search has been disabled for some time now for newbies and will not change.

A Google Search Box will be added in the future however so users are able to search, albeit with delayed search results.

One of the reasons why newbies are somewhat restricted is because a lot of them just comes and goes... wasting server resources. To minimize that, newbies have to somewhat "earn" the useful features that they want.

If Buy & Sell is his only purpose, paid options are available. Otherwise, he'd have to go through the process like everyone else.

@personalmgt, suggest lang nako, i-google nalang... ^_^

for example, if your boss is looking for an office table,
then go to google nalang and search, "office table istorya.net"

^Not as productive as typing in "motorcycles". You would end up with threads from Sports and Recreation=>Automotive

PS: But yeah, hacking around with google will do.

yup2x.. coz alot of newbies tlaga they just create an account then wala na....funny...me, i only log in to get some new stuff or post some stuff to sell...
