For me the most responsible solution is Oxo-biodegradable plastic. If you will look and research about the facts of paper, where it came from and the very long process to get that paper bag to the grocery store I'm sure you will have a change of mind right away 'just like me.

Logging industry is huge because of paper products and don't you know for just a small logging operation it could take century for nature to recover, how much more if the logging operation is huge. Imagina kung kita tanan mogamit na ug papel. Ang australia ang pinaka una nga ni ban ug plastic ug first nga nigamit ug paper bags... unsa man nahitabo sa ilaha? Common' it's time to be really aware so we can make a more sound and informed decisions kung unsa ang pinaka best nga gamiton.

and samsungster i totally agree with you that if you have any feeling for your motherland then go for paper bags they are very useful way in all the way as they can be recycle and you can create your own design and decorate over these paper bags.
